Chapter 1
Within the distant stormy mountains, there was calmness from within the mediation. Feeling the energy of the mountain all the energy was coursing through his veins. Controlling the chaotic energy, the man could finally have a calm mind. As though the star has aligned it was a feeling that everything was ready. Thousands of years have been planned. All pieces has been placed. With that, he touch the chess as he made his move once more. Like blink as though he had been called a god has appeared. With Bulky mechanical armor, he lowered himself to the leader.
“Has everything been given to them?” The man asked.
“Yes, they received everything they need and have reported to us that they are ready at any time.” The man said as he kneeled down.
“Good, I was expecting that the time had come. Tell them that the time is ripe. Lets see how those GDF will be able to handle what we have in store. The results don’t matter.” He explained.
“Yes it will be done without fail,” Walking the armor god teleported away.
“Ha….” The man sighed ” I wonder did you already foresee this coming Metis?” No matter what he did he still could never understand women. Even with all his calculations and thorough planning, he still ever wonders if it was enough. Just the thought of it made him lose his self-control which shook the mountain. He quickly calmed down as he knew that whatever happened he had made careful preparation. After seeing the GDF, he was sure that the forces he had made this time would surely make them suffer…..
Another part of Earth stood the main headquarters of the GDF, on the top floor was a lady constantly reading one document after another. She was looking at it so fast that she had to get several assistants to constantly recycle the paper and bring in more paper. It was constant work for her. But what she did was more amazing as she contacted her blessed children the moment she read the paper in unison. Because she is able to send information in real-time in the way that she wants, they never have to be misinformed. And of course, those who were blessed by her are really good with management which made it incredibly easy for her as she just had to tell them and they would fulfill the rest with seamless precision. But because of that, she and her blessed children are the busiest out of the others as she had tower upon towers of paperwork to do. This was done as a daily routine for her. However, it was still surprisingly how fast she was doing them as many humans would struggle to keep up without burning out. The fact that she manages this all by herself is a feat in itself.
“Haaaaaa….” she sighed after she was finally done with what she deemed to be trivial things. This took a few hours to do as she had to make sure that every region around the world had to be checked and maintained for each of the bases to function properly. Rather it be supplies or equipment she had to give the order. This is not to say that she doesn’t trust her blessed children with doing this themselves. It’s actually the opposite. She trusts them very highly but because she gets all the information from every region in real-time, she can adjust and transfer things based on what’s going on.
During the work, there was the aspect of dealing with the humans. After the little apocalypse, dealing with humans has been more or less hectic. Even with all the people she had controlled and monitored, it still was hard to deal with. Athena blessed children had to deal with onslaughts of protest and compensation proposals. They even requested help in the reconstruction of several cities that had been ruined by the undead. It was a barrage of complaints. At the same time there were those that seemed rather calm about the situation. It was weird, however because of the lack of troops due to training it was better to just send the resources rather than send people for construction. But still, recently something has been off about them. Athena wanted to send people to investigate, however with more than half of everyone gone it was not the time. She could wait after another year as after that time the training would be complete. It was amazing as Cronus training was rather fast yet at the same time required the least amount of time. The normal amount of training was five years, and even that didn’t guarantee results. Showing the difference between titans and Gods.
“Speaking of which the training should be done as of today.” After finishing her work she went to teleport to the headquarters training center. This was her next important task that she has recently been a charge of for about a year already. After spending some time learning under Kronos, Athena has been teaching many of her soldiers how to get stronger as well. It took awhile since being able to oversee everyone’s training while also making sure every region was functioning properly was hard. Everyone in the God’s Defense Force was blessed by Gods meaning everyone was able to learn what Cronus was teaching. Athena was watching many of the soldiers fight and use divine energy. It was amazing to see her soldiers as she couldn’t believe the progress they have gone through. She then walked to a God with a beard and silver hair that was watching everyone like her. This was her brother Ares as he was the one who managed everything while Athena was gone. It might sound surprising that Ares who is a battle maniac actually doing work, but because he benefited from this he didn’t mind.
“How is the training? Are there any problems that were developed by any of the soldiers yet?” Athena questioned. She saw as many of the soldiers were now getting rid of their equipment on them and had just finished their training. All of them were all talking and chatting about something while relieved that their training was done.
“Nope we have just finished it up. Which is surprising because everything is going well.” Ares said. No matter the training method nothing is perfect. Everyone is different so there should be some that can’t learn it. Yet no one was having problems. “To think something so obvious would make such an impact. I have been training for thousands upon thousands of years yet I couldn’t grow anymore. Now I have grown leaps and bounds to where I was before. It truly is amazing.” Ares commented as he channeled his energy. He quickly created a solidified divine sword and was looking at its quality. Though he knew how to use it, he only recently started using it because of his training.
“I agree and with the training, I have been doing with Neo and Nova, it is surprising I have been able to fight with you and Enyo on equal terms,” Athena said.
“Shut up, I would be stronger too if I was training directly under them, but of course they taught you.” Ares pouted. This was the one thing that he knew he was good at. But after just recently Athena got so strong that they are now equal in fighting strength. Not only that because of her blessing, her children got stronger now too. This to him was unfair.
“Calm down you are still stronger than me in the power department and if we were to go all out you will still win. Now stop thinking about that. Right now do you think it’s time to switch the units that need to be trained?” Athena said.
“Yep everyone has learned everything already and as you said at this point they need experience right now,” Ares said. “Though we have been training everyone, only half has actually completed the training. It will still take another year to train everyone.”
“I know but right now we can only do certain amounts each time. If we don’t then our forces will stretch pretty thin. During the past year, we have been very inactive and that’s a problem.” Athena said in worry.
“What do you mean?” Ares asked.
“Everything is normal on Earth. Humans have finally managed to reach a deal with us.” Athena said.
“Isn’t that a good thing…?” Ares pointed out.
“Most of the time yes, but however recently even after the disaster a year ago there were still individuals that were rather carefree. Those of them have been accepting everything I said to the teeth.” Athena said. “Yes they are active because of repairs but something is up. I have been seeing many of the politicians’ memories, yet none of them have any secrets that are important.”
“You probably overthink it. What could a bunch of humans do anyway.” Ares remarked. Though insulting, it was true as the many times that the humans have tried to fight back. All had ended up in failure, even with the modern weapons they have now.
“Yes but just to make sure I’m going to have to send a team to investigate,” Athena said. Though she would love to not worry about too many things. The problem is that it’s in her nature to be cautious.
“Do what you want, I couldn’t care less,” He said as he soon walked away.
“I wonder what those two are doing? Recently they have been walking around Earth by themselves lately. Not to mention they finally understood what money means.” Athena said. “I can’t believe I had to teach them the use of money and how to use a credit card. To think two people who are that powerful can’t learn such things. The world truly is an amazing place indeed.” She then teleported to the next place as her day was still very busy.
