Aurora POV

The night before the first day of school is always harder then going through a full day. When it's night you can't help but wonder what will happen on the first day of school. So you sometimes can't sleep at night. Just like tonight it isn't summer break anymore this is junior year. The house was quiet and maybe outside was too..but the boy next door to me was still up. We lived in a nice neighborhood that wasn't over the top and screamed ' rich ' like our other friends. Not even meaning to stare he was just getting out of the shower. I haven't spoken to him since the events that occured last summer and I'm positive he didn't want to speak to me.

Not since the band broke up. The 5 misfits of Bluelight, New Jersey, city of the violet legend. Serenity Kumar, Aurora Romano, Maddison Blake, Archer Monet-Cage, and Charles Lauder. You'll eventually learn we don't particularly fit in with others unless it's us. My fathers a paediatric surgeon, and my moms a big shot corporate lawyer.

Maddison's mom is also a surgeon but a orthopedic surgeon. They happen to work at the same hospital. No point to bring up her step dad since he really isn't accomplished like her mother. Serenity's dad is a accountant he even has his own firm. Not to mention he was already from a wealthy family back in india. But he went to college in America and then went back to India for his wife and after Serenity was born they immigrated to America.

Archer's mom is a top paying french supermodel from a wealthy family, and his father is a engineer, and he owns his own car company. In other words his dad's a billionaire playboy. To this day his mother continues to get cheated on. But his father is also a entrepreneur, guy loves investing, and expanding. Charles mother is a top chef who owns a couple of places, and his father is a stock broker. In other words were all wealthy kids.

Not even knowing I unconsciously walked towards the window trying to get a better glance at Charles Lauder. Were the only ones in our friend group that doesn't live in a big ass house with a pool in the back. Or even just a luxury apartment complex with a pool and a gym membership. Let's just say our family isn't a big fan of big ass houses for no real legitimate reason. But they can't deny that they aren't wealthy. Regardless we live in a elite city. The boy next door. Charles was a natural blonde, and believe it or not, he doesn't have blue eyes. His eyes are dark brown. Since we were pretty close in height and I happen to be a bit taller than 5'5.

I always found that our small height difference was amusing. It's normally the short, short girls with tall guys. But Charles was 5'9 and I was 5'7. I know only 3 inches. Charles was the first guy I ever laid my eyes on and he's now back together with his ex. My ex best friend Megan.

Drooling over the sight to see he approached the window noticing me and I basically got caught. Looking embarrassed but would be even more embarrassed if I pretended not to see him and move away. I stayed in shock but not to mention the view became even better.

Charles opened the window and to my surprise my window was also open.

" Like what you see ? " Charles asked and his blonde curly hair and blue eyes suddenly annoyed me.

" Sorry... " I responded still recovering ...wow he's still this dreamy ?

" I'm not offended...remember w- " Charles started and I cut him off not wanting to remember.

" I remember. You ...you should really shut your curtains..see you. " I responded smirking but I was clearly annoyed but I didn't think he noticed.

" Wait Aurora " He called out to me and I quickly shut the window closing the curtain. If anything I didn't want to remember...but him reminding me when I had that memory buried in my mind for the time being. I felt guilty all over again.

Turning my light off about to go to bed someone knocked on my door. About to see who it was the door opened revealing my Twin brother Adrian.

" Yes ? "

" Why the hell is Charlie yelling your name on a school night ? " Adrian asked looking deeply concerned but then I remembered Adrian and Charles are best friends. Adrian actually met Charles first so I gave him a pass.

" I closed the window on him after he annoyed me. So he yelled my name...is that a good enough excuse for you ? " I asked trying not to show I had any interest in Adrian's friend. He would simply kill me.

" Don't sas me Giovanni... I was only asking. Good night Ro. " Adrian said as he smiled at me as he literally called me by my middle name. Pushing him out the door as I smiled back I responded back.

" Good night...please tell your friend don't be yelling on a school night it's sunday. " I responded completely pushing him out the room.

" That's what I was going t- " Adrian started but I smiled shutting the door in his face.

" I was going to check him about that DONT WORRY HE WON'T BOTHER YOU. " Adrian responded and I smiled. It hasn't even been that long since Ralph left yet he's already completely took over the ' big brother ' title even though we were born on the exact same day. I mean he was born 2 minutes and 36 seconds before me. It's honestly bullshit I should have been born first. But still he was always acting like the oldest out of the two of us.
