Dandelion walked to the alpha, and sat down. “As the spring comes, I must select a mate.” The alpha said, as he sat down on the rock. Pumpkin shoved herself to the front of the group. “Yeah, my daddy will make sure that he mates someone, but not a stupid omega!” Sneered Pumpkin, shouting. Dandelion heard the rude pup, as she walked away. “I’m not stupid.” Dandelion continuously mumbled. As Dandelion sat in her small nest under a cracked tree. She curled in a ball, trying to stay warm. The alpha walked up to Dandelion, his head high. “Dandelion, Pumpkin isn’t my daughter. She is my sisters’ daughter, I am taking care of her. I have no daughter. She calls me her dad because she always wanted one. So everything she says— it means nothing to me nor should it to you.” The alpha said, a smile somehow appearing on his face. “Why would you dream of even talking to me?” Dandelion said, facing the opposite direction of the alpha. “Because, my mother was an omega.” The alpha said. “So I understand your burden.” The alpha continued. “Oh.. wow.” Dandelion said, turning to him.
