Summary

No one had ever heard of the Crescent moon pack until Ariah Balek became a rogue. After being thrown out of her pack and scarred by her former Alpha, Ariah took it upon herself to take revenge on all who shunned her. No one knew the identity of the Alpha of the crescent pack, but on the 19th of May, they hoped they would...why? Because that pack would be hosting the Blue Moon Mating Ball. Ariah had developed thick skin in the seven years of being Alpha. And being indestructible was just another perk. She never entertained the idea of a mate. More especially when her mate watched her get treated like dirt in her former pack and cross his arms...but what happens when he reappears with a new mate by his side at the Blue Moon Ball as an Alpha?

Chapter 1

Ariah's point of view

I take in a deep breath and I don't miss the scent that's still in the air. An intruder is on my land. You'd think that they would learn after my warning. I open my eyes and look down the hill, when I hear a howl of pain, before turning and heading to the training ground where my pack members are still sparring under my beta's supervision.

"Are the bunkers ready?"

"They were cleaned and stocked before dinner last night"

"Good job" I look back and see one of my chief deltas approaching me in wolf form.

"The intruder has been taken care of." I hear her voice in my head.

"Pack?"

"Dark moon pack, a spy of the Alpha."

"Send the body back with our crest on it."

She bows before trotting back in the direction she came from.

"It's like they're trying to start a war they'll lose."

"The ball is tomorrow, Alpha. It being our first time hosting it, the Ancestral Council will be here. The issue of spies crossing over into our territory can't be ignored."

"For their sake, I hope so," I say before leaving and walking toward my house.

On my way there I hear the siren go off indicating that the younger wolves should go shower then head to the main building for lessons. Most of my pack members don't like the idea of pack mutts stepping foot onto our territory, but not a single wolf has had the guts to say it out loud in my presence.

Consisting of rogues from anywhere and everywhere it makes sense as to why they don't. But they'll have to suck it up for tomorrow night.

Only those old enough care are allowed to attend the ball in case their mates will be here. I don't remember the last time I attended a ball but I know I won't be making an appearance. I've already been down that road and going down memory lane isn't an option for me. I look down at the gloves on my hands and form fists before shoving them in the pockets in the pockets of my jacket. If he had taken me when he had the chance, I wouldn't have to do what I'm thinking. Vincent wouldn't have had the chance to do what he did either.

But it happened and now my plans will be executed before anyone even has the chance to blink twice.

I finally get to my house and make my way up the staircase to my library.

Eight years of planning...seven years of training...and only a few hours left before my hunt begins.

And this time I'm taking part in the action.

A/N

My first chapter is short and all but the next one will be longer...I promise. I'm mostly a reader but I thought about trying the whole writing thing for a change. Hope you like the beginning!

Also, please feel free to point out any spelling and plot errors when you spot them. Constructive criticism is welcome.
