Prologue: The Fall
In the year 2021, the world that humanity knew was over. It didn't happen in an instant, no... it started decades before the fall. The governments of the world worked together trying to create the perfect unified government. Sounds nice, right? Well, in order to achieve such a goal, they needed control over their populations.
The government in the strongest kingdom selected one person to usurp the throne. He ruined the kingdom's economy while the plague still spread, took credit for a cure that never worked, and worse still gave the people of the kingdom false hope with empty words and promises that would never be fulfilled.
People shut themselves away in their homes and the kingdom fell to war and ultimately... ruin. Overtaken by the other kingdoms of the world and destroyed, the people of this once strong kingdom fled or died trying.
After the war, the remaining twenty percent of humanity came together to create one unified kingdom with a council instead of a monarch. Scientists deveoped new technology every day and as the generations passed, people forgot about the old world. The world of fear and control, the world that was destroyed by a virus and blame. But the peace this new kingdom brought, was soon gone again. The former royal families were wroth with the new council and the subjects that supported it.
Soon the royal bloodlines would fight for their power once more, but in a subtle and calm way. The royals wiggled their way into the council by vote of the people. Little did the people know that a storm was coming...
By the year 2130 every council member was also a member of the royal families. It came to pass that they each wanted their own kingdoms so they dispersed from the land and had their scientists build floating fortresses for them. Each of the five royal families had a floating fortress for them and their nobles. However, the middle and lower classed people stayed on the ground below.
After three years the Queen had sent another letter out requesting a girl for work. That girl was fourteen-year-old Vivian Blake, an orphan living in the Cerulean Orphanage.
