When I Fall.
When I fall
I want it to be slowly
Pretty slowly but,
not too slowly.
I want to test the waters
Just a lil dip
My toe, just a tip
And not a whole plunge.
Some like it hot
Some like it cold
But I, gentle
Gentle on my skin.
I don't like it cold
That when I fall
I'm shocked and shiver
I freeze and quiver
That for survival
I have to huddle
Deadly smothered
In your circle
Or when it's hot
That I scream
I redden and blister
And simply wither.
May I fall gently
That I sigh in relief
May my skin sing
And muscles calm
That when bottom
I finally reach
Like before I fell
I am still me.
