Introduction
Life is one big pitfall when you grow up. You’ll face a lot of glitches that are not obvious at first, and then one day, you’d realize that you gained a few pounds and get weathered and all, while you found your first grey hair.
I missed a lot of important events for the last decade, like the day when one of my best friends got married, the time when my little sister’s graduating from high school, my nana’s funeral, and so much more than a mankind’s obliged to appear. I used to have this vague feeling, a deep dark enigma that I was always left out, coz I’m trapped in a dreary office working twelve hours a day and sometimes more, just to keep my mind away from home. I was a just-go-with-it type of person, you know? Easy go lucky and just letting things happen and not caring about it at all. I mean after high school, I didn’t even plan a single thing; I didn’t even apply for colleges, and just enrolled on the first thing that came into my mind, the last minute notion and just left the suburbs for the city that doesn’t sleep. New York is fine though but I kinda have this feeling that I don’t fit in. Maybe because after all these years that I spent living in this city, I don’t have any friends and you could barely recognize me as a New Yorker.
My juvenile approach to life brought nothing, literally nil and then in a glimpse of an eye, I found myself wrinkled and screwed by the great unknown, and I mean life. I just want an incredibly fabulous turn of event. And this is how my story goes…
