Chapter 1
It was in the night, at 8:48 p.m. sharp, something like an aurora came towards Earth. It was getting bigger by the minute, and I was wondering and asking myself, โHuh? An Aurora? In Dubai? Impossible!!โ
After it became giant sized, it caught hold of Earth and it took away all of Earthโs electricity. There were no device chargers, no T.V, no light, nothing! It was like the Earth had time traveled back to the 1500s! I lit up somewhat a million candles in my villa. After about 30 minutes, every single building had candles. After lighting the candle, me and my neighbors got out of our houses with a candle each and assembled at the assembly point. We were all discussing about the incident. Knowing that we had no T.V. to watch, we went to the park, and we were quite surprised to see that there were also lots of candle there. We cycled for what seemed like FOREVER, but it was just 4 hours. After that a wind blew, and all the candles went out. I am pretty afraid of the dark and this time my surrounding was pitch black; I couldnโt even know if my eyes were open or closed! It was Pitch Black due to the reasons that there were no street lights, no candles and it was a new moon day. Suddenly a security guy came with lanterns. What an idea! Me and my friends dashed home and replaced all our candles with lanterns. There was no electricity for about a month. Then the same Aurora came and gave back the electricity! Even though we got electricity back, for about another 2 months, no one used electricity, people cycled to places instead of electric car or even normal cars. Ever since, humans lived happily ever after.
