case in tradearch town
One terrible night, my brother went out with his girlfriend, while I was having a sleepover at my best friends. Emily Perez her name was, she had beady emerald eyes and whenever she wore red; it made her eyes pop. “One day when I’m older,” Emily speaks, then she turns around and shows me her poem she wrote. “I’m going to dye my hair blue and become a famous writer,” she says, smiling and laughing at the funny poem below us. “Like your mum would let you dye your hair blue, oh Emily, your bonkers!” I cry out as Emily shrugs and becomes an angry bird. I turn around and soak my head into my pillow, yawning.
“night Lilo,” I say while slamming my eyes shut as fast as a light switch feeling the electricity in my body flow out and finally lets me relax “yeah, yeah” Emily mutters being an angry bum but then whispers “night stich”.
Faster,” scarlet screams out while giggling, while her hand is dancing from the wind, blowing it outside the auto window. Tloni slows the pace of the car with an uncertain look in his eyes “we need to talk” he says turning off the radio to the new car they just brought, “about?” scarlet replies, “everything! I think we should tell Adonis about me… I mean, I assume it will be best,” he announces, with love for his sister in his voice. “Best!... Best you say breaking her heart is best are you ridiculous?” scarlet shouts and slams her arms on her chest, scrunches her nose and her arms and stubbornness become inseparable “well what else can I do!” he yells back, irritation and sorrow fill his eyes, he despises conflict. Especially arguing with loves ones) “fight! Maybe you should fight and if you don’t beat this, then see her in the hospital. But what’s needed to inform her now, you’re alive, healthy, fighting and nobody suspects!” she exclaims. She pulls the hand brake on the car. The wheels screech from the pressure of how quick the car was going, and all around is pitch black (close your eyes, that’s how dark it is).
“SCARLET!” he screams terrified “oh calm down silly I dropped the red bag outside the window” she snorts and looks him in the eye showing the expression of a goodbye “I didn’t notice you drop your bag but… I mean it has my mum and dad inheritance money and they gave me a load so I guess that’s why you nearly… KILLED US” he rolls his eyes. Confusion reaches his mind. A lot of opinions always hit in his mind daily, but tloni could sense inside his bones, his girlfriend, is certainly up to something.
Scarlet heads out of the luxury door, leaving her seat behind. Walking towards the red bag with no hesitation to pause. She suddenly stops, bends over, slipping the fabric handles in the middle of her palm, smirking before standing up. “Scarlet, hurry” he shouts over to her.
She signals someone from a distance who didn’t have their headlights on and was completely imperceptible to anybody around. A red Corsa sped ahead of scarlets and tlonis eyes, but before he could get out of the porsche, the corsa already smashed right into the side of him. tloni’s car.
flipped over like a game of heads or tails. Scarlet had a sneer on her face but grief in her eyes. Her hands shaking and body shivering, she stares down and grips the crimson backpack. the sniff of wealth took all the regret away from her. “It will be okay. I had to do it for us,” scarlet whispers as sirens fill in her ears and tears rush down her cheeks.
That was in my past. The presence on my face when I discovered my relative was dead was dreadful. It devastated me. All my family gone like that. He served a terrible car crash. I can’t remember the girl’s name who survived. I know she loved my brother.
“Beep” the alarm clock rings, beating my ear with every annoying beat it plays. I get out of my bed feeling awful. My warm feet hit the cold creamy coloured floor as I shiver from the biting sensation creeping up my body. I feel my bed vibrating and a light flashing “my phone, where is it!” I place my hands on my bed, scattering them all over the bed to find my phone, “gotcha!” rolling my eyes after receiving a missed call she didn’t sound so pleased when I called her back “adonis!” she yells down the phone.
“Yes lily-anna? “struggling to response, but I preferred not to fill Lily-anna ears in with the heartache of the case I have yet not discovered. “Have you forgotten? No, no, do you recall anything I stated to you about my husband’s witnesses and how all the witnesses were executed in elemine town? everybody, even little kids, were staring amongst lifeless souls. Do you suddenly assume he is dead? You just go on about your day and cannot be bothered to search for answers. Did you even get my text, miss bre!” as the impact took place in my mind, I immediately realised I wasn’t taking my career seriously at all. I was taking it for granted. I didn’t notice her text is because i gave up on the entire case.
“no I did not get your text at all. It more likely hasn’t come through,” I lie to her, feeling demolished at the words I just received.
“oh, I’m ever so sorry. I called you to talk to you about something important… i” she struggles to put anything into a sentence, and grief hits her voice. Imagine losing your one and only person you cherish, an individual who gave you life, made your heart ache and eyes sting, expecting for a special person to bring the one you love home. You felt sick to your stomach, that the only thing who gave you life has now disappeared. You’re stuck all in the dark again. No motives, just hope.
“yes?” you question “something to… don’t feel right. I hate to say this, but I sense a dead body,” she burst into tears before coming out with another word. I stand in shock. “Do you want me to come over… so we can talk, and I will check it out its more likely nothing, i hate to say this but I think its grief lily- anna,” I ask “yes please,” her voice shakes and I can tell her personality fades away each day “on my way”
The phone beeps and I creep my clothes on and rush out into my cherry red car. Driving unhurriedly off my drive, I get a waft of smell. It stinks like donuts and costa. On my way to lily-annas house I see my next-door neighbour with ten cats following her. I never find that strange since in elemine city there’s always loads of stray cats. As I’m going through dessert stores and my belly is rumbling, I watch my reflection through the stores in my delightful old corsa.
The Door slams behind me as I glance up. I can identify an all white house with a black balcony and the garden looks like it hasn’t been done in over a year. I walk over to the black door and knocked 2 times, every knock I did dust flew down on the brown step below me “hi detective bre “she smiles at me, and walks away with her blue dress flowing side to side, and her brown hair bouncing. I pause and my eyes search around the household in confusion. She peers back at me with her piercing eyes. “Are you coming in, sweetie? Or are you going to stand there in shock at the crushed cup?” she asks.
“I’m coming in, “I chuckle as I walk in and close the door. I try to avoid the little pieces of shattered glass around me. I peek up the stairs wondering why its so dark up their “how is your son holding up” I ask leaning on the marble black and silver kitchen side “hah, he hasn’t text me in 2 days” she adds as she stirs more milk into our tea “what do you mean?, he lives here still, doesn’t he?” I reply “no he moved” sipping her tea “2 weeks ago, he moved to tradearch town left me all alone. I was a mess, so I’m not surprised” she spills out giggling “so he just left you like that?” I question “yes he did. Grab a seat lovely. I need to tell you about this weird smell,” she replies, emotionless. I take a seat on a silver wooden chair. “Talk to me,” I say, crossing my legs like a businesswoman.
“every morning when my son used to live here, I used to come in his room and put his clean clothes on his bed,” she explains. I note down the information. “Well, I used to get a waft of this terrible smell. It smelled of faint rotten meat with added sweetness, but every night the smell wanders further into a part of the house. It stinks that bad that Occasionally I want to leave the place behind and start new.
My face in shock, my mind dazzled. She just explained every detail of what a dead body smells like. “Where is it coming from?” I ask, sipping my tea “my son’s room. “She smiles, getting up and patting her lovely dress down “ill show you to his room if you like?” I nod as she leads the way up the paranoid creaky steps
