Destined For Disappointment
Your divine heart has drawn me closer,
be that as it may your demons hold me back.
While loving you has given me a reason to live,
It has also brought me great despair.
I would burn the whole world if tears welled down your cheeks.
I would give you the universe just to see you smile again.
I would bring happiness and amusement to their knees and make them worship you.
I would combat fear and loneliness for disrupting your peace.
A love as great as this one that dwells inside my heart, is sure to be toxic as well.
Like a poison,it spreads and slowly my bodily functions begin to fail.
Your sweet scent wanders along with me.
My hands reminisce touching your smooth silk like skin.
My eyes vividly hallucinate your divine anatomy standing before me.
The sweet tune of your velvet voice follows me everywhere I go
Yet I'm still a soul destined for disappointment.
