Big Man in the High Towers

The Big Man sits in his tall towers

Stubby little fingers clenched tight

Businessman, master of all he surveys

And being Master is all that matters.

But why settle on owning a company

When the Big Man can own a country?

He wants to make America great

By discarding half of its people.

It’s just like cleaning his offices

Throws away what he finds distasteful

Condemning what he won’t understand.

Hurling hatred, safe within his fortress.

Giant orange child playing with his toys

That he only sees from high above

Clinging to his well-worn catbird seat.

But oh, he’s not afraid to speak his mind!

He tells it like it is, amen white brother!

But how can he know “what is”

Entrenched within his high towers?

But ignorance is no obstacle, it seems

Incompetence no issue in this circus

He’s angry, and so is everyone else.

Misery loves company, as does fury

But the blind rage of a pampered child

Has no place at the head of a nation.
