Chapter 1

*Jane*

I was running from something but I don't know what. It felt like I gave all my strength to run and yet I was running in slow motion, as if I was running in waist deep water.

I felt something touch my foot softly, as if I would break if it touched me with more strength. My body tensed as fear crept in and then I was gone. My head was under water and I tried to scream as loud as I could but there wasn't a sound to be heard.

I looked down at my feet, squinting my eyes, to see a shadowy ghost like figure just swimming deeper and deeper into the ocean. When my eyes focused I saw a pair of black eyes staring right back at me.

My eyes flew open and I sat up instantly. My heart was racing and I could feel the cold sweat running down my forehead. I placed a hand on my chest focusing on trying to calm my breathing. It was just a dream, it's not real, I told myself.

When I finally calmed down I got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

***

Wrapping one towel around my body and the other around my head I walked into my room. I don't have a big room so I don't have alot of stuff. If you stood in the doorway my double bed would be to your right and my closet to your left. The window was across from the doorway and I had a small desk against the wall. To the right of the desk I had a drawer and I also have a drawer in my closet.

After drying myself off I threw on a black T-shirt that said 'Yay! It's Monday! Said No One Ever...' and paired it with grey sweats. I also chose my favourite grey hoodie and black converse to go with the rest of my fit.

I hurriedly walked into the bathroom to brush my hair and my teeth. I stared at my reflection wondering how today will go. I quickly put my shoulder length brown-blonde hair into a bun and grabbed my backpack.

Making sure I have everything I needed, including my phone, I began my journey to school.

***

I stood outside staring at the three story building. Ugh! Why do I have to come to this hell hole? With a sigh I entered the building and went to my first class, Science.

I took a seat at the back near the window. Taking my phone out of my pocket I put my earphones in and just stare out the window. Today's gunna be a long day.

***

The bell rang and I sighed in relief at the thought of it being lunch. I packed all my stuff and headed straight to the bleachers. It was a nice day today, the sun gracing us with it's presence.

My first two classes weren't that bad but I have to say, I'm definitely gunna add two more "S" words to the list of words I don't like. School was on that list since grade 1 but now the newest members were Science and Social Studies.

I'm so glad the teachers didn't ask me to introduce myself that would just make me more anxious. I checked the time only to see I have 20 minutes left.

I went back inside to roam the school property so that I won't get lost later. I was on the third floor when I got distracted and walked into someone. Good going Jane! I scolded myself.

I immediatly looked up "I am so sorry", I apologized. Green-blue eyes connected with my blue ones "It's fine" he replied in a monotone voice. What crawled up this guy's ass and died?

I stared at mystery man for a little longer before side stepping and walking away. When I reached my next class the bell rang. After waiting for the teacher the students entered the classroom and took their seats. Once again I took the window seat.
