Chapter 1: A/N POV

Y/N sat tiredly in her seat, trying her hardest not to doze off. She had always thought that math was boring, but she always had a keen sense of hearing, so she could hear everything the teacher was saying and understood it clearly. Suddenly, as soon as she was about to fall asleep, the teacher noticed and called on her to answer a question.

“Y/N, what is 3x(2+3)^2-5?” She raised her voice slightly. Y/N sleepily answered,

“The answer is 70, Ms. Kim…” Y/N finally fell asleep. Ms. Kim nodded.

“Just checking,” She knew Y/N was always listening, even when she’s asleep. Ever since first grade, Y/N had always been the top student. However, it’s kept her alone and bullied. Suddenly, the bell rang, louder than before, startling her to wake. It was already lunch, and everyone had left the classroom except her bullies.
