Chapter 1: New beginnings.

“You are gonna love Arizona.” say’s my mom. First off, Hello my name is Maya, no you’re pronouncing it wrong it’s Maya May-Yuh. My parents are weird I know. But this is me, we are just moving to Arizona and I hate it. I miss my old friends at my old school. but I get it. Not really. “Mhm....” I say so slightly. “No really Maya, You will love it.” My mom insists. “Yea I guess so,” I say sarcastically but not enough for her to figure it out that I’m being sarcastic.

Down the street, I see a fancy big house, like the ones you will see in a movie or tv show. I guess that's our house. Some people say I'm socially awkward. which sometimes I am. "Come help with the boxes." My mom says. I carry some boxes then go upstairs to my room to unpack. Right now it looks depressing. Just an empty, old, gray room. Until I paint it of course. It takes 2 hours to paint and unpack. But now my room is a light pink, super kawaii, and #supercute. Ew, I would never say that again I promise. "Hey hey hey, Cute room." My mom says.
"Thank you, mom," I say smirking. Then my mom say's, "Come down for dinner, Tomorrow's your big school day, are you excited?" "A little I guess," I say. After I eat I say goodnight to my mom and head into my room. I pick my phone up and open FaceBook. The best social media website. I text my friends "Hi." here and there then go to sleep.
