Both thrilling and heartfelt
"This story was both thrilling and beautiful (a little heart-wrenching from time to time if I'm being honest). The writing was very much in touch with the emotions of the main characters and the story pulled me through the book even when I didn't intend to sit and read for as long as I did each time I picked it up! "
I DONT BELONG HERE
"The book has several twists and turns, encouraging me to keep on reading. I could identify with Charlotte being different and not understood by the majority with their judgements and prejudices. I want to thank the author for the opportunity to read it."
Interesting Read!
"You ever feel like you are different then everyone else, well Charlotte is. She has a secret, one that to some can be a gift or a curse. But even with it she tries to lead a normal life, work a job, and meet someone who might understand her. But when she finally does meet them, they have something that makes them different as well. If you want a book that can make you smile, cry and hold onto something from plot twists then this is the book for you."
Mysterious, creepy and a short read.
"Charlotte has a gift⌠or a curse. She can see ghosts. The only person she can talk to about it is her grandmother because the rest of her family thinks she just wants attention. She used to be a bit lonely working all day, being in her room all night, until she met Dimitri. They slowly became friends but he has secrets and acts a bit mysteriously. Charlotte has a secret too, one sheâs determined to never share. She witnessed something she shouldnât have and now, the guilt will haunt her forever. I actually read this on Halloween which makes reading the book an even creepier experience. Itâs a short one so I definitely recommend reading it on a cold dark night to fully immerse yourself in the story."
Excellent book
"This was a quick and entertaining read.."
A ghost story like no other
"This was so much more than just another spooky read. The book covered deeper topics like cancer, depression and what it feels like you don't fit in. It's relatable and will tug at your heartstrings."
Best book of 2021
"I donât belong here is the story of a teenage girl who struggles to fit in because she is introverted and can see ghosts. Her life takes a turn for the worst when she witnesses a womanâs murder and is too scared to say anything. Then the haunting begins. Charlotte is convinced that the ghost wants revenge. But does she really?"
My new favourite book!
"This novel was so cool! I love how the main character concurred her fear and saved herself. I enjoyed the mystery and ghosts as well as the romantic elements. Itâs a quick and easy read."
A must read book
"In her book I Donât Belong Here, Tayla Jean Grossberg succeeds to balance the use of show and telling in a story. Unlike many authors dumping a lot information through the telling process, she uses it to summarize or avoid repeating scenes in which Charlotte, the main character, has to explain to her sister Juan or her friend Dimitri. Tayla also makes good use of some figures of speech where imagery and comparisons are one of her strengths among all figures. In this novel, well developed through characterâs building, readers can find themselves in each person especially between the two sisters living in the same house but different world. With the use of âI Amâ affirmations in her story , Tayla also emphasized how much Charlotte needs courage and strength to face her fears. I wonât spoil anything about the book because I believe anyone must discover that wonderful yet haunting life Charlotte is being. But what I can say to everyone of you reading this review is that fear can only be chased away by facing it. I say Kudos to Tayla Jean Grossberg for providing a non-stop reading time. "
Fantastic
"I am really glad I read this book as it was lovely !It was an easy read . You are quickly drawn in from the start and with many twists and turns it makes an enjoyable book. It was definitely a bitter sweet ending đ˘â¤ď¸"
Epic ghost story
"This book has it all - mystery, romance and thrilling scenes. Grandma May is my favourite character because she is always willing to listen to Charlotte (our main character) and has her best interests in mind. Charlotte is introverted and relatable and I love how she grew during the book, how she conquered her fears. Dimitri, the love interest, wasn't exactly what I first thought, but I ended up loving him and his little brother, Ethan. This book is suitable for people of all ages and a must read!"
This book has truly justified its title.
"I'm going to make it short because it had so many feelings and emotions, it would take few days for me to get back to normal. My review 10/10 đ I recommend you to read this book if you are a new reader or love to read horror, love, thriller and romance."
