Preface
I never thought I would see the day that the man I loved most would do such an awful thing. The devastation was scorching me from within. I knew something wasn’t right by the way he was acting. I hung on to every sacred word he spoke to me, but I realize that I have taken his love for granted. I desperately wanted to die when I received the terrible news. Distinctive sounds in my head were screaming, “why!” Why would he make a decision that would cost him everything? My dear heart promptly broke into a million pieces when I saw what I saw. I deliberately ran into the building when I found out what happened, and it inevitably produced nothing in my heart. It naturally felt like my body was present, but my noble soul was far gone. I could still breathe through my sensitive nostrils, but I felt dead internally. Dead in the shallow grave of my conscious mind.
