Summary

The Derrick Olin series was supposed to end after the novel Fearless in 2009. However, he was just too good a character and the author missed him. In 2010 there were two books written that took up Derrick’ adventures right where we left him at the end Fearless, however, the author chose not to publish either of them. In 2018, he had another look at those two books from 2010 and decided they weren’t half bad, so they were released, but not as part of the Birmingham’s Best Bodyguard series, instead as part of a series called Off Book: Derrick Olin, The Lost Years Set. The second one goes like this… Birmingham’s Best Bodyguard is no more. No more in Birmingham that is, but always and forever the best protective operator in the business. A new job takes him to Virginia where he and Traci Brenner make their first official home together as a couple. But Derrick doesn’t have long to settle before work beckons him back to the front lines of the fight. Someone is passing counterfeit drugs off as the real thing and a lot of people are in for a world of hurt, not to mention death, if this scheme isn’t stopped fast.
