Cold Love
It's been a couple of weeks since they met last, her hello was soft, almost forced. He can already feel it, it's almost time so say goodbye. Oh, what he wouldn't give to go back when they were each other's world.
He looked at her blank expression, he tried to break the silence, joking a bit, he got nothing. He still remembers the time when their love was enough.
The sadness he's feeling, knowing what's to come, hoping against hope that he is wrong, not finding a way out, she finally speaks... "I'm sorry"... He is mentally screaming "How do I stop this? What do I do?"
He knew that this was coming, he felt it long before today, they've been trapped in this cold love for a while now. His heart is breaking into pieces, he doesn't want to let go, he wanted to hold on though it felt like he is withering away, he so wanted to go back, back to the days when they were enough.
Sad farewell songs are ringing in his ears, he didn't need to hear her words, he already know what's coming, oh what wouldn't he give if he can bring back their old love.
He can see in her eyes that she's done, she already let go of their once great love, he is desperately thinking of words to say, what can he say to rekindle the now cold love that used to burn so hot?
He knows that they've broken up for a while now, it's just no one is bringing it up. He smiled bitterly, fighting to stop his tears from falling but ultimately lost as he let go.
