Chapter 1 Leaving my country
I am a. Cameroonian by nationality. And technically have never travelled out of my country. So you can imagine the excitement that came with leaving Cameroon to Germany.
I am sorry I won‘t say my name. Just read the book as if it was your point of view.I come from a family of four with a sister and two brothers. One of my brothers is older and the younger one was born last.
My father was a student in Germany ones so I was here when I was a baby. He has stacks of books in German which my mom was always very furious about because they were so many they would feel the house. I did not understand why my father had to keep so many books until I came to Germany.
So I was very excited with coming to Germany. Using an airplane for transportation was new to me as I had only seen it in movies. And let’s say my first experience was not a totally awesome. The engine was noisy and throughout the flight I felt dehydrated and tired. I thought flying would be comfortable but it’s just two points short of annoying.
Upon arriving I discovered that I had Jet lag which is very funny because I never thought that was going to be a thing. It was very funny and new at the same time.
