Kaeya x Reader
It’s not something that would usually happen, but you get the point.
Kaeya has been flirting with you for quite a long time, yet you’ve thought nothing of it. After all, he does it to everyone.
After a while you would’ve thought that he would’ve gotten with Aether or Lumine. But no, he went for you. The third triplet out of Aether and Lumine, y/n. Your h/c hair and your e/c eyes drew him in.
Everything about you. Kaeya has never caught feeling before, yet you made this an exception.
Let’s start this story of how you and him got together right, shall we?
Your POV:
“Ah, another morning in Mondstat.” I say to myself cheerfully. I get out of bed and put on my clothes and walk out the door. My brother, Aether, and I are here while we wait for a the Adventurer’s Guild to summon us to go to Liyue. It’s most important we find out sister, Lumine, soon so we can go back home yet, time is moving slow. Until then, we enjoy our time in Mondstat for the time being.
“Hey Wagner!” I say to the blacksmith across the street. “Hello..” he says back, barely acknowledging me. Man that guy is always working! Doesn’t he ever take a break?
I walk to Good Hunter with a skip in my step. “Why am I so happy today?” I ask myself. I stop in my tracks. Cavalry Captain Kaeya is on patrol. My heart skips a beat. For the longest he’s been flirting with me and winking at me. I don’t know why he does it but he only does this with me.
“It’s probably nothing” I say to myself.
Sara, the owner of Good Hunter asks me, “Hello Y/n! What would you like today?”
I think for a moment.
“How about a Sticky Honey Roast?” I suggest, and Sara nods accordingly.
“Put it on my tab,” I hear a voice say behind me. I turn around, and Kaeya, the man himself, was standing right there.
I blush a little and say, “Sir Kaeya! You don’t have to do that ! Really, I’m fine.”
“Tsk, tsk. Cute, but no, I insist.”
Kaeya hands Sara a few mora and sits down at one of the tables.
Y/n! Take a seat with me, won’t you?”
At this point I’m burning up! “Y-yeah of course,” I say timidly.
“No need to be so formal with me, by the way,” he says looking in my eyes. “Just call me Kaeya.”
“Okay Kaeya. Was there um, anything you wanted to talk about?”
He looks off to the side and chuckles a little.
“Well Y/n, I was wondering, if you would like to come to Liyue with me later this week. Master Jean has assigned me and a few other to take a little vacation. I just knew, I had to ask you to come with! So, what do you say, sugar?”
I blush and think for a moment.
I’ve been waiting so long to be alone with Kaeya. I feel so honored that he would ask me to go with him.
“But aren’t there other people you’ve asked? Surely I’m not your first choice?”
Looking a little hurt, he replies, “Why, of course you’re my first choice. It’s not everyday that a beautiful flower like you appears. You’re very special to me Y/n.”
He grabs my chin softly. “I’m hurt you think I like someone more that you.”
“I..”
He laughs. “Don’t worry it’s okay. So, you gonna take me up on that offer?”
“Yeah! Of course, I would love to go. I just need to be back asap. Yknow, with the whole needing to find my sister thing.”
He sits back and ponders in thought. “Well then, we might as well go now hm? I’ll have you back by Friday.” Seeing as it was Wednesday, that was more than enough time to go there and be back in time.
“The-then yeah! Let’s go now.”
Kaeya chuckles again. “You’re so cute. Your excitement makes me oh so happy. I never want to see you sad.”
I blush. Am I really that special to Kaeya? Ever since Aether and I arrived in Mondstat, Kaeya has always had his eyes on me. It always made me seem special but to hear it from the horse’s mouth makes it even better.
It felt nice to hear this gentleman compliment me, and make me feel worth the world.
“Shush I-I’m not that cute.”
He smiles. “You’re my cutie.”
Standing up, Kaeya walks up to Sara. “I’d like the Sticky Honey Roast to go, thank you darling.” Sara smiles and nods, packing up the food gently. Kaeya takes it and places it on the table.
“For you, m’lady.” He says. I blush and roll my eyes. Standing up I say, “Thank you for being to sweet to me today. It really made my day.” Kaeya’s face goes all soft, and he pulls me close to him by my waist.
“Anything for you. In this short time of knowing you, I know that I have feelings for you. You’re my little flower, and I intend to take care of you. When you must leave Mondstat, I will be here, waiting for my Princess to come back.”
I blush really hard and lay my head on his chest. “I..” I start to say. “I love you, Kaeya.”
He chuckles and says, “I love you too my princess.”
Lifting my head by my chin, he leans down and kisses me passionately. I feel my blood rush to my head and I melt into the kiss.
Who would’ve thought Cavalry Captain Kaeya would steal my heart in ways no one else could?
I wonder what Aether will have to say about this..-
