Battling The Unknown

While exploring the tombs of a huge mausoleum Professor. Richard Kartwal was reading an inscription on a pillar it read, “He who enters this tomb with greed shall pay with their life but he who enters with honor shall live.” As the professor went into the tomb it seemed to be a maze with twelve statues, he was accompanied by his two guides. But without knowing their bad intentions they knocked the professor unconscious and continued ahead. As they walked forward one of them triggered a trap and the statues started to move by every step they took.
Out of fear one of the guides turned around and pulled out his gun and pointed it at the statue, but the statue pulled out its sword and stuck him sending him into the dark abyss. As the professor gained consciousness he found that the statues all had their right foot forward and as he walked forward the statues didn’t mark him as a threat. But the other grave robber who passed as a guide drew his gun and as he stepped forward his foot pressed against a stone tablet and a dark figure with the head of a jackal grabbed him and drew him into the darkness and disappeared.
After getting through the maze he stood in front a large stone door and as he pushed it open in front of him was not gold and jewels but a mysterious gold box with hieroglyphics on it and as he removed it there was a bright light and he found himself seeing the great war that had ravaged the lands many years ago and then he collapsed and woke up in his tent. After returning to his lab in America he scanned the in text on the box but it was unknown to him so he called Professor Sherryann from the Geological and Language society and video chatted with her about the text and sent her a copy of the images.
After nine hours she was finally able to but in great fear and shock she read it to herself and told him he should not open it because inside had a great power said to have been placed by the great gods of Egypt Ra, Anubis and Isis. He looked at her for a while and laughed saying,” You expect me to believe that this thing is cursed and wields the power to destroy humanity? “. She shook her head and sighed, “Just bring the box with you and we will get more information at the Pyramids please.” In his heart he knew she would never lie to him because they were childhood friends and agreed.
After a long flight and several hours crossing the scorching sands of Egypt just to find out that this was only one of three great boxes. They called six of their colleagues and after several days finally found the second box over three hundred miles away in the tomb of Isis near the great Nile River. In an unmarked tomb hidden deep within a mountain and after hours of scanning they gave a clue to the location of the last Box. So as if stood they had Isis and Ra now it was to look for Anubis after a year of searching scanning and mapping out the finally came up with the location but it was difficult to understand why the box would be placed not in Egypt but 700 miles off Iceland .
When they packet up their kits and equipment the set off on their long journey and having called for a submersible founded an underwater temple deep within a trench and entered it to find they could breathe because there was dry land inside the large Temple with statues and found pictographs of a great battle and the pyramids of Egypt and legend that if the three ancient ones are brought together will lead to destruction and the skies will be filled with winged beasts of all shapes and sizes but inside the three hold the key to survival. After several hours of searching the massive structure they finally found it, it was within a room of the temple and above the entrance of the door read, “The one whose heart is full of greed shall face his fears and die with grief but he who comes with a heart most noble will be given the light to the earths survival.
They were all worried but after a while they decided that a young Archeologist by the name or Markus Should go because this was his first expedition and as he entered the room a stone door closed behind him and tongues of fire appeared with six objects in front of him a sword, a spare, an axe, a mace, an empty jar and finally a dagger. He sat down on the floor and looked at the statue of what looked like a woman holding a small bowl but there were also five soldiers so he taught about the scripture and after a few minutes let his heart guide him to lifting the jar and carried it down the path to the woman and after opening his canteen poured his water in the jar can emptied the water into container and as he did the door behind him opened up and he was able to retrieve the box and he placed back the jar and left the chambers but as the door reclosed the temple started to crumble around them and the rushed back to the submarine and left back to main land.
As they returned to the lab and placed the three boxes together, they also had had three students bring in a large stone tablet placed on the desk and found they each had a distinct symbol and placed the boxes required and as they read the incantation the symbols on the covers turned and opened but as this happened the skies became dark and the air got extremely cold as if death had come around them and the screams of spirits starting at low and grew intensely shattering the glasses of the windows and lab equipment and as the boxes opened stood three figures on the other end of the table .The young Archeologist Markus looked at them and his forehead had a strange symbol which was that of Ra and he translated to the rest of his colleagues what the spirits were saying, “You have till the sun is darken in three days or a great war will ravage you lands find the other two guardians for with them shall you cast the dark one back from his grave “ . Then the lights came back on and Markus collapsed.
When he woke up he remembered hearing a strange voice and told them that the ones whom are chosen by Isis and Anubis. That night while Markus was asleep a dark figure slowly walking into his room and as it drew his blade to kill him the Symbol of Ra glowed bright and as if with the blast from a flamethrower the dark spirit was eradicated and disappeared then he got up to the smell of smoke and called for the help the firefighters put out the blaze and he was safe, over time his body changed and for a brief second he saw the face of the one Isis had chosen and found her a young girl playing a guitar at a concert and finally getting to speak to her he asked her to place her hand on the box of Isis and as she did a mark appeared and as if a great bond was forged like destiny she told him that she had been having strange dreams of a war and seeing images of the ancient pyramids and after two days thing started to get worse.
For what looked like a large Serpent the same one from the temple of Isis had appear and started wreaking havoc destroying buildings and what also looked like a large scorpion also appeared each with a rider on its body. As they faced off a large ring of energy appeared casted by the woman on the snake and after two hours, the battle had ended with the serpent casted back to the chamber from where it came. The scorpion however got away and Nell had gotten hurt in the battle. They then decided to return to the others at the Lab, where they managed to fix her up but she needed to rest.
After a long period of patiently waiting, the last box started to glow and Nell gripped Markus’ hand and they knew where to find the last one. His name is Adam and was working at a school not too far from where they were, they tracked him down and spoke to him. He was a teacher’s assistant and after they convinced him they told him to place his hand on the box and the mark appeared. And with it the man with the mark of the scorpion reappeared, killing Jackson one of the scientist working in his lab with him. Adam was then told to hand over the box or more people will die.
Markus then looked at Adam and placing the band of Anubis on his hand and his body became like that of the great one. As they thought it was already too late and there time was up. Suddenly the earth was enclosed by darkness, as the fallen one was rising as his followers were preparing the bring forth the chaos. And with that Markus, Nell and Adam were sent to the land of Egypt where they stood in front a large black pyramid, the eclipse was complete and the army of the fallen one had risen along with The dark king.
Standing at 7’9 with eyes as black as night muscular built the monster before them was intimidating. Sitting on the back of a large Alligator he looked at them and laughed, “So you are the ones who are to try and defeat me oh how pitiful.” He opened his palm towards them and lightning stuck the floor sending them flying backwards. They got back up and looked at each other Marcus, Nell and Adams mark started glowing and as they spoke the ancient language their bodies changed and they had become one with their spirits and ran towards the army of the dead. One by one the army began to fall.
Markus grew golden wings and held a staff in his hand and spirals of golden flames came out destroying the enemy.Adam wielded a large twin blade axe and sliced down the enemy and Nell drew three arrows and shot them in the air and they multiplied into thousands of small arrows killing the enemy .After destroying hundreds of thousands of the dark lords army. Between the chaos they saw the one with the scorpion controlling majority of the army. Adam’s blood couldn’t stop boiling with blind rage. He then used the full ability of Anubis, casting a gateway to the underworld sending them back and dragged the scorpion as well sacrificing himself.
Nell alongside Markus faced the king to a battle And as Markus flew above the clouds his powers increased tenfold for Ra was the god of the Sun. As Markus tore through the shadows as well as doing heavy damage to their king, Nell focused all her power to find a week spot within the army. After a while she found what she was looking for in the form of medallions in the form of a Beetle. She shot it spiting it in two and the sands around them started drawing back inside of the tomb as all the damage was being reversed. After the battle was won their marks faded away and they found themselves forgetting everything. Three years have passed since then and Nell, Adam and Marcus went their separate ways. Within a different timeline the Gods decided it would be best if they have no recollection of the events which happened. After many years Markus became a world renowned Archeologist and a professor at Cambridge and Nell a world famous musician.
