Chapter 1 : I'm not fine
4p.m.
Third person pov
“Clara you there, can come in please,” The boy asked with concern for his best friend while standing outside her room in front of the door. He was worried about her as she had locked herself in her room as soon as she came back from school. The door opened slowly allowing the male to come in as the girl went to her bed wrapping the blanket around her body.
“You fine?” asked the boy while looking at the girl in front of him sitting on the bed like an egg with the blanket wrapped around her body as she looked down on her lap with dead, cold, red puffed-up eyes and nose with a tissue box next to her and used tissues thrown everywhere in the room.
“ Liam do I look like I’m okay?” replied Clara while looking at the boy with her sad, sorrowful eyes clearly showing pain in them. “I’M NOT FRICKIN OKAY, I LEFT EARLY CAUSE I COULDN’T TAKE THE CRAMPS ANYMORE, MY BACK AND MY LOWER ABDOMEN HURTS LIKE HECK! I FEEL LIKE CRYING BUT I CAN’T, MY NOSE IS RUNNY, I NEED MY CHOCOLATE BUT IT’S NOT THERE IN THE FRIDGE; AND OUT OF ALL OF THIS YOU’RE ASKING ME AM I FINE OR NOT. MAN THE AUDACITY YOU HAVE”
“What’s this?” the girl asked staring at the plastic bag in front of her as the boy made himself comfortable on the bed. “Oh it’s for you, I knew you had your periods so I bought this for you everything you need is in there- pain killers, dark chocolates, pads cause you are not on good terms with tampons. And if you want to thank me or return the favor you have to allow me to copy your Physics homework I didn’t do it due is tomorrow.”
“If you knew then why did you ask me whether I was fine or not?” “simply just to make you a bit more annoyed” “you’re a piece of trash you know that right?” said the girl as she took out the stick of dark chocolate wrapped with white and black paper with the name of the chocolate written on top of it with gold lining out of the plastic bag. “Yeah I do, then why you friends with a piece of trash” “you were lonely when I saw you in the park that day I felt sad and saw how you we’r-” “enough!” said the boy loudly as he stuffed her mouth with a piece of chocolate. “Well thank you so much, you do know my cycle more than I do” “no problem now give me your physics notebook,” the boy said while searching for her bag. “After finishing your homework can we watch a movie” Clara asked while stuffing her mouth enjoying each bite and corner of the chocolate.
8p.m.
“Why did you pick this?” the male asked looking annoyed and weird at the tv screen that showed a zebra, lion, hippo, and a giraffe dancing and partying. “Get out if you don’t want to watch the movie?” Clara replied with a smile filled with sarcasm while watching the movie.
On the other side of the story
“Yeah, wait Liam didn’t tell you anything where he’s going? Wait I’ll ask Clara if he’s at our house or not”. “The person you’re trying to reach their phone has been switched off please try again later” the voice spoke as the call was not being connected to the girl who was busy watching the movie. The female on the other hand was worried about her daughter and her friend’s son.
10p.m.
The woman entered the living room stunned and awed by the scene in front of her. The lights were off, the pizza box was left open on the table, the half-eaten chips packet was on the floor, and the two high schoolers slept in peace as Clara kept her head on Liam’s shoulder and his head on top of her head with blankets on top of them while the tv was on.
Next day
7p.m.
Clara's pov
“Someone woke up after a good night’s sleep didn’t they? ″ mom spoke as she saw us sit on the dining table while yawning, well we can’t deny the fact that we did have good sleep especially with those cozy blankets and cuddling each other, “What did you two do last night, Confess!! Kiss!!” “Nope!” I and the guy next to me said in unison as we had our sleepy faces. “You guys are no fun!” She looked annoyed at the fact that me and Liam didn’t do anything else rather than watch tv and doze off to our dreamlands. After some minutes of mom teasing and shipping us, we ate our breakfast and I went to my bedroom for changing up into the school uniform while removing my hoodie lazily as I was going to miss it in school.
It sucks wearing the school uniform. It sucks going to school. I started questioning my existence as I buttoned up my shirt lazily and put the belt on taking my own time as if I controlled it. I got dressed up went down and bid my mom a bye and started walking towards Liam's home.
"Do quickly" I said as I saw him climbing up the stairs to his bedroom. "I'm not lazy like you k" he said boringly as he went off to his bedroom locking the door, to get ready for school.
