Anakin and His fears
“Master!” Anakin shot across the Jedi Temple Hallway. Obi-wan turned around with a face telling Anakin not to bother him. But it was too late. The hooded jedi walking with Obi-wan had noticed Obi-wan’s turn. He turned and revealed himself as Jedi Master Mace Windu. Anakin tried to hide but was to no avail.
“SKYWALKER!! What do you think you are doing here? Explain yourself. Now!”
Anakin paused and he was unsure what to say. Does he say that he’s looking for his master? Or does he say nothing? Well it was too late once angin Master Windu had become impatience. Obi -wan saw this and hurried to Anakin. Anakin had only been at the temple for almost a year while most kids his age have been at the temple for at least nine years. Anakin was 10 and was turning 11 in a week he had not told his Master for he was unsure. He did not know why though he just didn’t and he was going to tell him now but Windu the Jedi Master who made Anakin afraid. He did not want to be afraid but he was. Obi-wan put his arm around him, bringing him back to the real world. Anakin hides in Obi-wan’s robes like a child.
“This kid really? and he is supposed to be the…” Mace said while laughing. As he was laughing Anakin looked up at his master revealing his sad broken face and this made Obi-wan act. Then Mace was cut off by Obi-wan. Obi-wan was taking a big risk and he made a mad angergy threatening face at Mace. As if he were saying Keep laughing at my kid or you will get a smack in the face. Mace walked away to their surprise. Obi-wan took Anakin to a room that was special for the two of them. It was not far; it was the Master and Apprentice room where they could train and meditate in private. Not even Master Yoda could enter without permission. Anakin felt safe and Obi-wan knew that if they were alone then Anakin would become more comfortable faster. Obi-wan got down on one knee so they were equal in height.
“Anakin, are you okay? I know how Master Wnidu can be around you. I don’t think it‘s fair for you because you did nothing wrong.” Obi-wan worried that Anakin was upset because Mace had started to get into unnecessary arguments with Anakin over nothing. Anakin nodded and said.
“I have to tell you something important.”
“What is it ?” Obi-wan asked, thought it was very serious.
“My Birthday is in a week from today.” Anakin said, trying to sound happy though he was saddened. Obi-wan saw that Anakin was serious and wanted to give him a birthday that he will enjoy but how. Then it hit.
“Oh…oh my. Anakin!” Obi-wan said supperised. Anakin shoved a flyer that had a picture of a star ship on it.
“LOOK!! I want to fly there.” Anakin shooted. He wanted to fly in a hutt race and make high staked bets like how Qui-gon did when he freed Ankin form slavery.
Obi-wan was about to say what in the blaze are you thinking. Racing bets are dangerous and hard.
Anakin saw his worried face and said, “You’re right it is way too dangerous.”
Obi-wan replied saying, “Thank you, how about we go and explore any planet you want.” Anakin was disappointed but His master was right, he thought. Anakin then remembered one of his biggest dreams he had ever had, to see all the planets in the Galaxy.
“Master!” Anakin yelped
Obi-wan jumped in his seat because he honestly did not think that he would much less yell.
Anakin continued, “Master I too see all the planets, maybe we could visit some.”
Obi-wan said, “Yes of course Anakin we can visit one planet, any of them also Anakin. Are there any friends of yours that you would like to come with us.”
Anakin paused then remembered that he had not made any friends so he nodded.
Obi-wan was saddened because he felt responsible for whatever happened to Anakin. So if he had no friends that would mean that it was his fault he was training with him too much. Obi-wan almost cried when he leaned on the anakin and gave him a bear hug. Then they heard a loud bang.
Obi-wan turned, “Oh no. What could that be?”
Anakin got nervous and grabbed his master’s lightsaber. Obi-wan saw him grab it but did not stop him. Then a loud roar echoed through the hallway. Anakin then ran to the far end of the room by the window with Obi-wan’s lightsaber in his hands. Obi-wan looked at him and yelled, “ANAKIN! NO wait, stop, don’t do that!”
Anakin turned back to look at his master. Then there was another loud roar. Anakin ignited the lightsaber. And used it to break the window. He looked out the window and saw a civilian transport. He had decided he would jump. He waited a few moments then jumped. Obi-wan ran to the window trying to grab Anakin but it was too late.
“Ahhhhh!” Anakin yelled as he was falling through the sky.
Obi-wan ran and looked down out the window. “Anakin!” he yelled. He tried to use the force to catch him but he was too far away. Anakin landed on the transport. Everyone on the transport looked at him as if he were crazy. He then sat down and said calmly, “Please bring me to the senate building as fast as you can. It is a dire situation.”
The Drive droid nodded and brought Anakin to the senate building. Anakin realized that he still had the lightsaber in his hands. He put it on his belt and waited till he arrived at his destination. Meanwhile Obi-wan saw that Anakin had landed on the transport.
“Few.” Obi-wan said as he turned around to hear another loud roar. So he started to run outside into the hallway then he saw a Rancor down the hall. He ran towards the Rancor as fast as he could. Obi-wan wanted to think about where Anakin went and if he were okay. But he knew he must help stop the rancor.
