Chapter 1

Why can’t I just stop? You asked yourself before slicing another cut into your already scarred arm. With tears streaming down your face you kept going and going. Without realizing it you had cut along your whole arm. Your crying was starting to get louder again. You couldn’t risk waking up your sister or your mother, definitely not your mother. You tried to stop gasping and cried silently screaming inside your head. Why am I alive? Why can’t I die? Why won’t anyone kill me? PLEASE SOMEONE KILL ME! You screamed inside your mind.

With your crying, you didn’t notice the figure at your window staring at you. Surprised you jumped back and started crying harder. Please I'm sorry for what I did I’m sorry please kill me don’t kill me please kill me. You repeated it over and over again without stopping. The figure at your window had bunny ears and a hood on so you couldn’t see their face. Silently the hooded figure unlocked your window and climbed in

“Hey hey calm down I’m not going to hurt you.” the figure said slowly walking closer to you. “It’s ok. I promise” they repeated. With the last sentence, you started crying harder, getting a headache from the soft words. You cried harder and harder and more audibly. “No, get away from me I’ll hurt you STOP, GO AWAY YOU’LL GET HURT!” you shouted at the stranger. The figure pulled off its hood and revealed jade green hair, emerald green eyes, a freckled face, and a dainty nose.

You recognized the person, pro-hero izuku midoriya. He was your favorite and your comfort character. After you recognized who it was you froze. Your body reeling from the blood loss and anxiety of a stranger. “Hey hey don’t cry. Let me see your arm,” he said softly, convincing your body to obey. He pulled out bandages from one of his pockets and started wrapping your wounds talking to you in a soft voice that made you relax immediately. “It’s ok. I’m here. You’re safe now.” he said, keeping you calm.

You could only sniffle and try not to cry at his soft and caring touch. You couldn’t say anything but he pulled you into a hug and sat on your bed. Not being able to keep the dam shut anymore you started crying.” It’s ok you’re fine now puppy” he said stroking your hair and holding you tighter while you got out your emotions.

After a while, you got sleepy and decided to try to speak to the stranger for help but he had already fallen asleep with you in his arms snoring softly. Without disturbing him, you laid down and fell asleep.

As soon as he could hear the soft breathing of your sleeping form he got up and laid you down on the bed and covered you up. Turning back to the window pulling his hoodie up he looked at you one last time and whispered” good night puppy.” And hopped out the window to resume his nightly route.
