Chapter I: Jealously Yours

“Are you a magician? Because whenever I look at you, everyone else disappears!”

I groaned at the torture I had been put through for the past hour in front of my locker.

“Do I know you? ’Cause you look a lot like my next girlfriend.”

I grimaced at the desperate guys trying to impress me by using Google pickup lines. I thought boys were so much original than that. I was standing waiting for my boyfriend at my locker but my stalkerish desperate herds of players tried their luck for the day.

I felt tingles that erupted like mini volcanoes and that was how I saw my boyfriend just behind the desperate and sweaty players, I felt sorry for the guy though, he would be brutally beaten by my jealous boyfriend, but I didn’t care, he deserved it for these extremely cheesy pickup lines. I was so worth much more.

“I may not be a genie, but I can make your dreams come true.” My boyfriend whispered in the guy’s right ear and I allowed myself to take a step to the left as the player’s head bashed my locker. I laughed as his hand repeatedly connected to the guy’s head from the back.

Yes, Levy Martin was my hot boyfriend. He was the troublemaker, and I was his catalyst, that was what we agreed on our very first date. His steady amber eyes gleamed delightedly at the artwork he did on the guy’s face and the crowds gasped when the guy was hopping for his life and away from us.

Hopping as in jumping with one foot like a demented Kangaroo.

The crowds of students laughed as they took in the sight as happy predators and my boyfriend hugged me close to his body with a closed cigarette packet on the other hand dressed in a black studded leather jacket and a dark blue shirt with dark black jeans.

“Anyone wants to try and flirt with my girl?” he asked out loud and saw the terrified group of guys scatter. He smugly lifted an eyebrow and turned to face me as I giggled.

“You just have to be so damn attractive, right?” he asked after his husky chuckle was heard by the students. I smiled innocently and then smirked when he kissed my lips. I loved being a bad girl for him, but I knew my reputation as the goody-two-shoes in school. It was our senior year, and I couldn’t be happier that school was going to be finished.

“Babe, I know you think I’m sexy but let’s save the make out for later.” he wiggled his eyebrows jokingly when we pulled away and I laughed once more. Okay, so we were show-offs, it hurt nobody.

The reason why Levy was still in school with me was that the principal was too much of a kiss-ass for his parents, the multi-billionaires might I add, Mr. Clay Martin and Mrs. Christina Martin were only the ones who were generous enough to donate for Oregon High. The principal- Teddy Robinson- would be stupid if he rejected 30,000 dollars for his school so, with a smile and a deal, they signed him up.

It wasn’t like he killed a lot of people; they were only the bad ones he killed. There was a difference and besides, he seemed to enjoy his reputation here. His eyes scanned the classes as we passed by the cafeteria to our Poetry class.

It was a very long day as my eyes took in the flock of birds on the sand and the sun flashed its light furiously at me. Levy squeezed my hand, and I turned my face from the window beside me to his gorgeous features. He knew he was hot, and he liked to show it off. He was such a wild spirit and it made me somehow look up to him in a different light.

We started when I was strolling through the alleyway to get to my house, the evening breezes made me satisfied with the good weather. As I took my time walking since I liked the weather very much, I heard shot sounds and I grew half curious, half afraid as my eyes averted from the road ahead of me to the end of the dark alleyway on my left.

It all began with a shotgun and a handsome guy with perfectly sculpted muscles and mischievous amber eyes. Once he finished, he laid the bodies beside the dump and rubbed his hands against the fabric of his jeans. He knew that I still stood in shock, I was immobile; it was like dark magic somehow, I couldn’t move at all.

“Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you,” his eyes stared at me as he calmly spoke to me like he hadn’t just killed two guys seconds ago. “Not yet anyway.” he jokingly added making my eyes flicker from one eye to another from anxiety. His amber eyes made him stand out, he was a portrait to look at and I just couldn’t let go of his stare. It was like some bodily connection, his defined jaw clenched showing its perfect shape and his eyes devoured me.

“I am Levy,” he smiled as he took out his dry-bloodied hand, “Levy Martin, but you can call me just Levy, the killer,” he smirked.

“Miss Maxwell, are you just going to stay ogling at Mister Martin or are you going to answer my question?” the whole class stayed silent at Mr. Smith’s outburst but then, all together, exploded with laughter as my cheeks reddened.

Oh God, I was afraid to look at Levy beside me because I knew he would be making fun of me later.

“You really should pay more attention in class, but I know how hard it is for you to resist my killer looks.” He ironically made fun of me for the millionth time and he got pretty much the same response: my whale groans.

Mr. Smith just had to say it in front of Levy, the bad boy next to me had an enormous stuck-up ego already as it was, with Mr. Smith’s comment, his head reached the sky. I averted my eyes at the students that were previously in the Poetry class with embarrassment. I was making a big deal about it when really, people were going to forget about it by the next day.

They all had an attention span of a goldfish. I felt sorry for the next laughing stock, whether it was a new girl or boy or the janitor. Poor them, they had to suffer in this school.

“Babe, I’m going to break up with you for real if you keep staring at me like that.” Amidst my dream train, my eyes subconsciously met his after the students left. It was like my face and body wanted Levy to make fun of me again.

“You can’t even if you want to,” I stated in my smug voice when we exited school to go to his red Harley Davidson motorbike. Since he was going to turn eighteen in a couple of weeks, he had to settle for driving a motorbike because he wasn’t an adult yet to ride a car due to the restricted policies of Oregon. Nevertheless, his parents being the multi-billionaires had its perks; they promised him that they would buy a limo as his first car. I was surely envious of him, I still had three months to turn eighteen and my parents only promised me a beat-up BMW that my brother used to crash all the time.

“You got me there,” he winked when he said that while his arms slid around my maroon-colored jacket to bring me closer to him.

“Baby, I have to tell you something.”

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters.
