Raven: Becoming

Leviathan saw that the Angel was about to escape from Sheol, she could not let her get away with the Prince of Chaos’ only prised possession, his daughter. The Demones could not allow the Princess to be taken from Hell.

Leviathan dove from the red sky, and honed in on the Angel. She will not get away.

Rael knew if she could only get out of this Hell, she could give birth to her daughter on the Earth plane, her contractions ran close to each other. She could not let her baby be born in this dark place; she would not allow Mephestopheles to raise her child to be a ruthless monster. This child will be raised with the druids of Salisbury, where they will train her to be a weapon of good, of love and compassion.

As Rael ran her waters broke and a terrible pain raked her body, as the baby made ready to enter the world, but she also had to contend with the demon dragon who was hunting her. The monster was relentless; she would not let Rael out of her site for a second. The dragon dove low, intending on grabbing Rael and dragging her back to Mephestopheles. That damn evil scum had raped her time and time again while she was captured down in his dungeons. She tried to hide her pregnancy from him, hoping to escape before he could find out. But time was not kind to her and the only opportunity she had to escape was right on her due date.

Another contraction raked through Rael, the baby was very close, and she had to get to the earth plane, and soon, the people there are kind and will help her birth the child and hide them. But first she had to get to the gates. She was so close, just a few more steps. The two trees that marked the gate of Sheol stood right in front of her. Just as she was about to jump the gate , two thing happened at once, the child’s head cam right out her body with the next contraction, and Leviathan grabbed Rael on the shoulder, forcing her to let loose her weapons. At that instant a cataclysmic event took place, a power so wild, so pure tore loose that it tore a rift in the gateway, causing for the veil to break and reveal the location of Sheol. It also opened the gate for anyone to enter and exit.

Rael slashed at Leviathan’s paw and nearly severed the dragons paw; it was enough for the dragon to let her loose. She stumbled into the nearby forest and crawled to a small cave entrance, where she finally birthed her daughter. A beautiful dark haired, blue eyed baby. She wondered if her eyes will stay blue or change colour like other babies does eventually. She was nursing the child while trying to regain her strength, but she felt her time was over; soon she will pass from this world like all Angel guardians do once their offspring are born. At the mouth of the cave a mother wolf and cubs stood, Rael looked at the wolf mother, pleadingly. “Oh great spirit of the forest, my time has come, please take care of my little baby, until it is time for the humans to find her?” The wolf came closer and dragged the baby by the pieces of cloth that Rael had torn from her dress to swaddle the infant in. The wolf understood one thing, that it was a harmless baby and needed to be protected and fed.

Rael gave her last breath, knowing her child was safe for now. Meanwhile outside the forest, all hell broke loose, as the demon hoards of Sheol took the Earth plane and caused chaos and destruction in their wake………..
