The way that Angelica goes on in her everyday life with the other characters is very relatable to the reader and allows for them to become emotionally invested in the story. The fantasy elements add a bit of magic to the tale, making it very unique and adding to the plot. "In the beginning, the story seemed as an ordinary teenage story with outcasts and the popular ones, with a nerd and a mean girl. However, it turned out to be something much, much different and I ended up enjoying it immensely. The beginning itself is powerful, gripping and grasping, hinting at the fact that the story was not going to be ordinary. The whole story is wonderfully written, it made me sympathize with and feel for Angelica and Jeremy, as well as Jeremy’s mother. It is so easy to read, but yet so deep. I believe that this story could not have ended in any other way. I was said to see Angelica go, to see how her own sacrifice, her good deed, came with a price. And a price which she herself paid. However, her gift may be a sign of freedom and she may have finally got that freedom in the end. Wonderful story."
