Chapter 1

Far away, out across the sea, there exists an island kingdom known as Mycono Kingdom. Mycono’s history has always been a strange one as nobody seems to remember exactly what happened when. However, here is one strange story that needs to be told… The story of Princess Bailey and her courageous quest to save her family…

One day, as Princess Bailey slept, a familiar evil crept back into the world. The evil sorcerer of magical winds had once again arrived with the intent of taking over the whole kingdom, and then the rest of the world. Scotty Hepburn has been the bane of Mycono since the earliest years. Typically, a boy named Fraizer would arise to defeat him, but alas, the final Myconian Fraizer had died years back…

Princess Bailey slept; unaware that anything was wrong. For reasons unknown, she was left alone. All six of her sisters were stolen away under the cover of darkness. Then, the sun began to rise again.

At the crack of dawn, Scotty the evil wind sorcerer paraded through town. His evil minions surrounded him protectively as the people of the town cowered in fear. A few of his minions blew trumpets in an evil fanfare. It was this cacophony that caused Princess Bailey to awaken from her slumber.

“Mmm…urghhh… What is all that noise about?!” Bailey asks, half asleep.

Princess Bailey tosses and turns in her bed. The trumpet fanfare continues, preventing her from falling back asleep. Annoyed, she rolls out of bed. The bed next to hers lies empty, revealing that her sister, Princess Sophila, is not sleeping.

“Uhhhh…Sophila?” Bailey calls out, looking around. "Sophila, where are you?!”

Bailey begins searching around the Mycono Castle, but cannot find her sisters anywhere. She checks again and still, there is no sign of any of her sisters. She gets dressed up in her usual green shirt and pants. As she is getting dressed, the trumpet fanfare suddenly falls silent. Not a sound is heard.

“I guess I may as well see what all of the ruckus is about for myself,” Bailey decides.

Elegantly, she runs her hands over her shirt, smoothening the wrinkles. Without another moment’s hesitation, she walks down the long winding hallways towards the door of the Mycono Castle. She takes a deep breath, preparing for whatever may be on the other side. Then, she throws the door open.

There is a ton of monsters right outside the castle and all over the town around the castle. Some of these monsters appear to be flying eyeballs and flying octopi. A group of disgusting little horned monsters stand on either side of the rode with trumpets in hand. Suddenly, a figure appears, riding in on what appears to be a cloud or a giant wind gust.

The figure, dressed in a short golden cap, a red shirt, and brown pants is none other than Scotty, Sorcerer of Magical Winds! He laughs evilly and throws some colorful stones to his minions. Then, he stops, noticing Bailey standing there. Princess Bailey crosses her arms, looking very upset.

“Excuse me, but…” Bailey says, wiggling her finger scoldingly at Scotty, “…you are making way too much noise! Don’t you realize it’s still early morning?!”

“Hoh hoh hoh hoh hoh… Don’t you realize who you’re talking to, little girl?!” Scotty asks, grinning evilly.

“Someone who isn’t respectful to royalty?” suggests Bailey.

“Well, you do have a point there…but I am Scotty Hepburn! Sorcerer of Magical Winds! And I am going to rule all of Mycono Kingdom!” Scotty announces.

“No! That’s impossible! You were killed many years ago!” Bailey exclaims.

“Do you not realize? I have been reviving myself constantly for centuries!” Scotty says.

“Well, that still doesn’t make you king. My oldest sister Corrynia is destined to be queen of Mycono!” Bailey argues.

“Hoh hoh hoh… Foolish child…I see you are entirely unaware," Scotty says, casually checking his claw like fingernails.

“W-what are you talking about?” Bailey asks, suddenly becoming nervous.

“You see…while you were tucked up so snuggly asleep last night, I did you a favor and kidnapped all of your sisters. They are far away from here now, locked in dungeons, never to be seen again!” Scotty reveals.

“What?! Why would you do that?!” asks Bailey.

“Well, you know, I love princesses," Scotty says, drooling at the thought.

“Well, I’m a princess,” Bailey reminds Scotty.

“Hoh hoh hoh… Yeah, well…” Scotty says, shrugging. “...I’m going to be completely honest, I don’t like you as much. You’re boring. I’m your king now, so, if you bow to me and accept me as such, I will spare you.”

“Rude!” Bailey exclaims.

“Anyhow…I’d rather not spend any more of my precious time arguing with you. I have so many other cities and towns to announce my presence to,” Scotty says.

Scotty turns to leave. Bailey, who happened to bring her sheathe with her outside, draws her sword. Scotty halts and begins to laugh again. Bailey continues holding her sword out, ready to strike.

“You think a sword can stop me…wow,” Scotty says, turning back to face the princess.

“I won’t let you get away with this! I may not be the oldest princess, but it still is my duty to protect this kingdom!” Bailey yells.

“I see. You know what? I changed my mind!” Scotty says, wiping a few tears from his eyes that were caused by laughing too much.

“W-w-what do you mean?!” Bailey asks.

“You’re not as boring as I thought. In fact, I find you rather intriguing…so, you know what? I’m ready to cut you a deal!” Scotty says.

“Are you going to bring my sisters back?” Bailey asks, still holding her blade out.

“Of course not! So listen, it will probably take me about six days to conqueror your entire kingdom...if you can somehow find and rescue all your sisters before then, I will give you your kingdom back and step aside,” Scotty says.

“Six days? That’s an awfully long time. I only have six sisters. I only need three days to find them all!” Bailey brags.

Silence falls again. Scotty just stares blankly at Bailey for awhile. She sheaths her sword and holds her hand out for an agreement. Scotty grins and gently takes her hand.

“Three days, then! We have agreed on it!” Scotty says, shaking her hand. “…and then I’m taking away your sight.”

“What?! Why?!” asks Bailey, yanking her hand away from the sorcerer.

“Because, I have had a change of heart. I already know you won’t make it in three days and I don’t want you to have to watch as your entire kingdom is destroyed. It would be better if you were to be blind," Scotty says. “Consider it a favor! And I typically don’t do favors for anyone. You’re one lucky girl!”

“Ugh, you disgust me, but I will make it! I will find all my sisters and I will defeat you!” Bailey cries out.

“Very well, then…see you in three days, princess!” Scotty cries out and flies away on his wind gust, laughing all the way.

“I MEAN IT! I WILL DESTROY YOU, SCOTTY!!!” Bailey cries out, shaking her fist at where Scotty once stood. "Three days. I can do this. Two or three sisters found a day will do the trick!”

Scotty lands his wind gust outside a massive tower. This is Scotty’s Tower. Many, many, years ago, this tower was constructed to reach beyond the clouds. While the tower can be seen from anywhere in Mycono Kingdom, the top of the tower cannot be seen above an impenetrable area of clouds that cling to the top.

Scotty reaches out and grabs the door knob. Slowly, he turns it, opening the door. At first, it is entirely dark inside. The moment Scotty takes a step inside, though, the lights are thrown on.

Loud party horns sound and confetti begins to fall from the ceiling. Scotty stares in surprise, his mouth falling open. The confetti falls and begins to land on his cap. Suddenly, a bunch of identical little boys appear.

Each boy is a short 11 year old child with pale skin. They all have the same black hair that covers one eye. These are the boys who built the tower, the Mungo Clones. As children of Scotty Hepburn, they must work for him to help him achieve his evil goals.

“SURPRISE!!!!” the boys cry out.

“GAH! MUNGO!!!” wails Scotty.

“WELCOME HOME, DADDY!!!” the boys exclaim in unison.

“Uhhhh, I wasn’t expecting a party?” Scotty says, pretending like he wasn’t startled.

“We know! That’s why it’s a surprise party!” one of the boys says.

“Which one of you is my actual son? I have a feeling he’s behind this," Scotty says, face-palming.

“Right here, daddy!” Mungo cries out, emerging from the crowd of his clones.

“Listen, I just got back from parading around the town around the castle,” Scotty says.

“And…?” Mungo asks, grinning. “Did you find the seventh princess?”

“Uh, how do you know about the seventh princess?” Scotty asks, looking nervous.

“I have many ears, in a sense,” Mungo says, motioning at his clones.

“Well, let’s just say that number 7 is in for a rough time,” Scotty says, grinning.

“What’s her name, daddy?” Mungo asks.

“Why does it matter?” Scotty asks.

“I just wanna know, please tell me!” Mungo says, staring up at his dad with big bubbling eyes.

“Her name is Princess Bailey,” Scotty states.

“Oooh! Is she anything like Mári?” Mungo asks.

“Hee hee hee…Mári!” the other clones says, laughing.

“Shush! We don’t talk about Mári!” Scotty yells.

“Mári! Mári! Mári! Mári!” the Mungo clones start chanting.

“S-STOP!” wails Scotty, covering his ears.

Scotty sits down on the floor, keeping his ears covered as his children chant. Suddenly, a young-looking woman with blonde hair and blue eyes peers around the corner. She looks extremely confused. The children begin laughing and running around.

“Who’s Mári?” the woman asks.

“GAH! RAIN!” exclaims Scotty, standing up suddenly.

“Did you seriously forget I was here again?” Rain asks, crossing her arms.

“Ummmmmm…” Scotty says, sweating.

“So, who’s Mári?” Rain asks.

“NOBODY! THERE IS NO MÁRI!” Scotty screeches.

“DADDY! TELL HER THE TRUTH!” Mungo cries out.

“SHUT UP, MUNGO, OR I’LL SEND YOU BACK TO THE CHAMBER!” Scotty yells.

“You can’t send all of us back!” one of the clones points out.

“Fine, then I’ll kill you all and re-clone the original,” Scotty threatens, baring his fangs at the children.

The clones scream. Most of the children run away. The few that linger stare wide-eyed at their father in horror. Scotty sighs.

“Is there something you aren’t telling me?” Rain asks.

“No,” Scotty lies, rolling his eyes. “I tell you everything.”

“Then who is Mári?” Rain asks.

“She’s some fictional woman the brats came up with to torment me,” Scotty lies.

“Hmmm…” Rain says, squinting suspiciously.

“So don’t worry about it. You know how Mungo is,” Scotty says.

“Ummm, okay, but you better not be lying!” Rain says with a hiss.

“You’re not a cat anymore! No need to hiss!” Scotty cries out, cowering in fear.
