Win was busy reading some files when his eyes landed on his mother walking towards his office. His eyes widened at the sight before he could hide or run away she was already push the glass door open while smirking. Maya enter inside his son office making Win groaned in frustration, he already knew why she's here and what she is going to say. The same thing she's been saying to him for the past few months now. Maya furrowed her eyebrows at his son frustrated looking face and ask "What with that face Win?". She lifted her sunglasses up on his head and ask again "Anyways, Win Metawin, didn't I ask you to go and meet that boy....". Win cut his mother off, he drop his pen on the desk, responding "I'm busy Mom". After saying he deeply sigh and continue "I don't have time to go on dates". His voice came out as almost inaudible, it was only for his mother to hear.
Maya was clearly unsatisfied with Win answer she scoffed "Bullshit, excuse Win Metawin!". Win eyes widened he raised his eyebrows. Maya takes few steps closer to her son and she was holding her phone and shoved it on Win face showing his scandalous picture with some Victoria secret model, who was clinging on his right arm. Win surprisingly moved backward on his chair stunned, looking at his picture with his one night stand in a parking lot of hotel. Maya scoffed shaking her head "Scandals... don't feed me lies as if I'm a small child. I'm your mother and we both know about your pathetic reputation" she scroll few more times on her phone scrunching her nose at the pictures, she again shoved her phone showing another picture in disgust with some red hair boy clinging this time on Win's neck at the reception area of some hotel. She had some of random taken pictures of her son with his one night stands holding him, or clinging in front of hotel while entering.
Win was already pinching the bridge of his nose in disbelief he ask his Mother "Mom Why do you have those, why do you keep up with these things. It my life". He felt so dissatisfied with his Mom behavior of being this nosy in his life. Since months she is spending all her day telling Win to get married and get settled in life like his brother Raj. Win was already an adult for some reason at the age of 26, he was not ready to have a permanent commitment. Marriage is not easy like ABC, and he can't just walk down the street and ask stranger to marry him. First, It will be completely stupid, and Second he doesn't want to marry someone he don't love because marriage is not temporary thing. It will last forever and he only want to marry someone special, who is only and exceptionally made for him only.
But as till date he never met someone like that who own his heart. Maya stated sternly "Win you're my son, you're embarrassing family with your one night stand. What's the benefits of it?, Why didn't you try dating with those I tried to set you up?", Suddenly Win assistant knock on the door. Krist enter timidly he gulped looking Maya. Win had ordered him right after 10 minutes his Mom enter in his office, Krist has to come and save him by lying.
Krist greet politely "Hello Mam, uhh, Unfortunately, Sir has another meeting in f..five, it very impo...". Mays gave him deathly glare cutting him off. Krist swallowed hard and his voice got almost inaudible he continues "It..it's important, Mam". Maya rolled her eyes, and she deeply sigh "Krist, do you want me to fire you sweetheart?". Win shirt sleeve were rolled up on his arm, his arm crossed on his chest and his eyes were closed, his head was resting on the back of his chair, when he heard his mother threatening his assistant he answer back "He works for me, Mom, You can't do that". Maya raised her eyebrows and her lips curve upward in a devious smirk.
Maya said "And you work for Me. I can do as I Please". Win sigh for the umpteenth time he was trying his best to control his temperature but his mom has already decided to make him loose his control Win ask raising his voice a bit "Why are you so eager for me to get married?". Maya again rolled her eyes and plainly said "Because you're wasting time. See your brother as an example. He got himself an wife and already have a lovely daughter. All I'm asking you to get settled in life, be a responsible man and stop wasting money on those one night stands who doesn't capable of securing your future. You're an adult but still acting like a spoiled brat. STOP THAT!". She ended looking deadly serious.
As soon as Win opened his mouth to say Maya already cut him raising her index finger, she showed Win a picture of unfimiliar girl on her phone with a cheeky smile She said "Family gathering, this Sunday. Bring your future Wife or You'll marry her". She stands up from her seat and cleared her throat and remind him "You got three days, don't forget". Win tried to control his temperature for the umpteenth time. He gets up and ask his Mom before she leaves his office. "Mom how am I supposed to find someone who wants marry him in just three days?". Maya stopped at door she turned and stated "Win Metawin You managed to scoop yourself different one night stand in about atleast an hour. How hard it can be to find yourself a wife?". She was about to step out but before leaving she stopped again and said "I assume you're already interested in someone since long, that's why you rejected all the dates I set you up. And one more thing STOP giving excuses and START showing me your damn commitment because that's how I raised my children. Remember Sunday, don't dare to disappoint me". She put her sunglasses on her eyes and left the room finally, leaving Win once again in disbelief.
Win stayed on his place staring at the random spot for a while. His mind going blank at the sight of his mom disappeared and he felt like a huge whole burden on his shoulder placed. Win suddenly remember one of his date, with Zea he had few months back. For once he even think about marrying her she was a decent woman with beautiful feature. She was also an heiress to the finest and wealthiest family which meant she had a lot of connection too. He even took her on date twice but he realized she lacks a lot too. What is good about an heiress but doesn't know anything about business. She was someone who spoon-fed all her life and gave the title of heiress. Her parents work hard and she was spending their money carelessly.
Krist clear his throat breaking Win thought and ask "Shall I call Bright, Mr Win. Maybe he'll be able to comfort You" Win instantly look up and like a light bulb an idea pop up inside his head. His eyes widened with the possibility of making it true. Bright and him have been always close since they were kids, this might work out between them. Win grinned suddenly his mood took 180 degree turned and said "Actually I'm meeting the doc right now. Tell Dim". He quickly grab his phone and coat and start walking towards the door but abruptly stopped before exiting his office and ask Krist "Why are you still standing there?". Krist hesitate and respond "Sir, You have an actual meeting in half an hour". Win eyebrows furrowed he breaths out "So, Just Cancel it". Krist hesitate he stutter "It is very important meeting Mr Win. I can't just cancel because they'll flip.... And its... Never good if they flip".
Win rolled his eyes, he walk back inside closer to Krist, Krist has been working for last three years. He is the only assistant that last this long. Win gaze harden at his assistant and firmly stated "Cancel it, Do as I say. We don't want you losing your job". Krist gulps, as sweat began to form on his forehead he nods and Win gave him small smile making his way out of his office once again. Krist trails behind Win hurriedly. He pushed the button of elevator and stand behind Win and when both of them went out receiving greetings and smile from other employees as they walk out Dim was already waiting for him. Krist opened the back car door for Win letting him enter then Krist straight straight went towards passenger seat. As soon as Krist buckle up win command "Call the doc".
Krist look from the rear view mirror, searching for Win gaze, before nodding his head. He pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialled the number. Dim already started driving towards the hospital. And as soon as the call gets connected Krist ask "Bright, Mr Win would like to speak with You". Krist turned a bit and handed his phone to his Boss. As soon as Win took the phone, and held near his ear he heard from the other side "Win, You could have called me yourself. But then ..that wouldn't be the Win Metawin I know... Anyways now what do you want?".
