Who knew my rival, could be this beautiful?

The first thing you look for is people. People around them. You want to make sure no one can see you. Jake hides himself on the second floor of a stadium parking garage. He keeps his hand on the cold trigger, and his target is locked in. Her name is Michelle Vogel. Her nick name is Shelly. Some Hitmen refuse to learn about their targets, but not Jake Spade. He wants to know everything. She’s been cheating on her husband with multiple men for two years. He just found out about it recently. The husband is a good friend of Jakes company, Avanex. This is why Jake was given the job, he is the company’s best hit man. His bosses know the job will be done right. Jake has had 800 successful missions, so many bodies. He does not mind it, though;his emotions left him long ago.

The limo door opens, and Shelly’s new lover steps out. He walks around the car and opens the door for her. Jake cocks his gun, letting out a long sigh. The time is now. Jake turns on his iPod, and music blast in his hears. Shelly goes in for a kiss with her lover, and Jake pulls the trigger. Blood is the first thing he sees. It’s time for a bonus. He quickly reloads the gun. The man is now on his knees. Maybe his love was real. Jake locks on to his new target. Once again, he pulls the trigger. He turns his iPod up all the way to block out the screaming. Tomorrow, he gets his biggest job yet.

Jake pulls up at Avanex. It masks the underground business with a clothing line. Avanex makes high-quality sport cloths, but the real money comes from the hitmen business. Jake is always greeted warmly by everyone, but today even the receptionist is acting cold. They must have received word that Jake got the company’s biggest job yet. A job that everyone else wanted. It has the biggest payday yet, and they should have known that Jake would get the job. He is liked by his bosses, and he has been at the company the longest. The receptionist hands him the phone without looking at him or saying anything. “Hey, Spade here.” His bosses voice comes out of the other end. “Jakey, I know you ship out today for California but we have a major problem. Come to my office upstairs. This could ruin the whole operation.”

Jake hands the phone back. A smile spreads across the receptionist face. She must have heard the conversation. She must not know, Jake killed the last one. He hired himself. Jake takes the elevator. He feels his heart drop as it begins to go up. Screw this. He’s worked his whole life for this operation. Screw this. Jake punches the elevator, leaving a slight dent.

The elevator door opens revealing a crowd of people. They all start to pile in. Almost everyone deliberately bumps shoulders with Jake. Others give cold stares. The last one steps on Jakes foot. He holds his breath and closes his eyes. Then he inhaled. Jake grabs the man from behind and slams him against the wall. Holding his throat. “You think this is funny! Sometimes you don’t get what you want rich boy! I should kill your right here! Spoiled piece of crap!” Jake holds him, people scream at him and try to remove his hands. The man’s eyes start to go out. “Leave it Spade, that bastard isn’t worth it.” Jake drops him to the floor and walks in to the office. He hears people murmuring behind him.

Rob, his boss, closes the door behind him. “What’s the problem Rob, we’ve been planning this for five years. This is my biggest job, what happened.” Rob motions for him to sit down, and he does. “Jake, do you know our rival SuperQuist? Of course he does. Jake has had many run ins with them in the past. “Yeah, so?”

“Well, it turns out there sending there best person on the exact same mission. They want this kill.” Jake breathes a sigh of relief. This has happened before. Jake just took out the other hit man. He can do it again. “Is that it? Can I not just take them out?” Rob proceeds to sit down as well. “If you can. But this person has 900 completed missions. Everyone is saying how they are better than you. They have taken out 50 of our men already. Can you handle this? I would hate to lose a good friend and my best money maker.”

Jake scoffs, his boss has never looked down upon him like this. Screw this. “I’ll be fine. Just tell me when my plane leaves.” Rob smiles. “That’s my boy, let’s get this job done. Enjoy your LA vacation Jake.”

Jake begins to pack his travel bag. The company already has supplies and guns in every state. This is so the hitmen can get past airport security. Jake packs only the essentials, sunscreen, and a few Hawaiian shirts. This may be a job, but he plans to stay a few days after the job is done. Finally, a good vacation. He packs his one bag into his car and takes the guns out. He starts it and plugs his iPod in. It is time, for a good time. Two hours to the airport. His plane leaves in three hours. He may eat on the way there. Jake turns out of his neighborhood. He taps is hand on the steering wheel, to the music. But, he then hears a gun shot sound. The car begins to screech back in forth. Jake tried to get in under control, while keeping his head down.

The car slams into a tree. Jake remains barely conscious. Is this the rival? Jake feels a needle go into the back of his neck, and he only sees a silhouette of his attacker.

Jake wakes up in complete darkness. His mouth is taped shut. His hands tied behind his back. No, point In squirming or trying to scream. Is this it for Spade? A voice comes from in front of him. “That was easier than I expected. When I heard that I would be going against the number one hitman of my rival company, I thought I would have a bit of a challenge. Not so good, are you Spade?” The light turns on revealing the rather clean house around him. He hears foot steps walk into the room.

His eyes adjust to see the person in front of him. Her hair is blonde, and her eyes are bright blue. Her cloths are similar to his, and they are tight around her. Jake can just stare in awe as he thinks:

Who knew my rival, would be so beautiful?
