A New Hero Born

Today was the first day to this brand new ‘school’, great. Just, great. Now I know, it’s a whole huge thing, yes.

First of all, this academy only allows certain people, people born with these so called ‘quirks’, then have to defeat these ‘targets’, I personally do not care at all, but since my mom forced me into this, I gave it a shot.

I was packing my bag, putting on my school uniform, and combing my hair, thoughts rushing through my mind about this. This school, these people, this new day, new life, I’m about to experience, it’s going to change me. I start to worry, I start to panic. Negative thoughts. Like a needle filling up a bottle. I keep calm, brushing my hair and taking my pack of gum.

My mother started driving, the school was fairly far away to, kinda shitty since I have to get up at 5AM instead of 6AM. I stared out the window, watching the quiet country side slowly turn into the bustling city of Musutafu. Cars, signs, so much.

“Sweetie, we’re here,” I hear my mom say, as she opened the door for me. I hop out, a little embarrassed already from her.

“Have a good day, oki? I packed your lunch, with your sushi, drinks, and-“

“Thanks mom.” I say bluntly, walking away pretty fast, I know that sounds kinda mean but it was normal for me and my mother. I see her slowly wave behind me.

So this is it, a new school, a new day, and maybe even a new life.
