Chapter 1
Her name is Rose Collymore and all she has ever wanted was to attend one of the best colleges and to become a sculptor. She wanted to surrender herself to her sculpting and to inspire the world just like how her heroes inspired her. She wanted to discover an all new her, and college was the place to start. She just was accepted into her dream school Yale. On her way to Connecticut now to start her new life. Escaping her no good life in Arizona.
She never expected for things to get out of hand; she only wanted to have some fun but everything took such a bad turn. If she would have known meeting him would get this messy she would have just stayed in bed that day. Rose started off like every college student, excited for the year to come heading towards her room nervous about meeting her roommate. These are the simple things compared to what’s to come, but we will get to that later let’s start the story.
Rose was heading to the front of Yale with all her luggage and the biggest smile on her face. She felt prepared for any obstacle that was to try to come in her way. She has been dreaming of this day for so long and it’s finally coming into view. She heads inside to admissions and gets her room number. She only has one roommate so she is glad about that, being around people kinda makes her nervous. She goes down halls counting the rooms passing by all the other new students. As she gets closer to her room her anxiety gets higher. Finally stopping at the door she pauses for a second and then opens it. She was welcomed by a bright smiling short girl, not what she was expecting but it was a warm welcome which calmed her nerves.
“Hi I’m your roommate, the bright Alex” she said so cheerily I was almost certain i wouldn’t ever see this girl without a smile on her face. It made me smile though and I was glad to have a roommate who was so outgoing. Hopefully it will help to break me from my social phobia.
“Hi I’m Rose it’s nice to meet you Alex, you’re actually not what i was expecting to get out of a roommate” I mentioned the last part a bit nervously. “Well that’s good cause there is nobody better than me” she says and does a little pose. I just laughed then she made me set my stuff down and the room was actually a really good size, maybe too big for just two people but I’m not going to complain. We both put all our things away and I tried to decorate my side like how my bedroom at home looked. My room was my comfort through everything that happened. It’s different because I’m sharing it with someone now but who knows she can be a part of the comfort. After all that we went over our classes, she isn’t taking sculpting but she is taking a painting major so some of our classes will be together. Pretty soon the day was over and we went to bed and were preparing ourselves for the first day of our college lives.
Woke up to Alex already prancing around the room like she has been up for hours. I rub my eyes “How long have you been up” with my raspy voice. “Oh like an hour or so I couldn’t sleep” I just shake my head and chuckle before dragging myself from my bed and getting ready. We decided to grab some breakfast before going to our classes. We went down to this little breakfast spot that was within walking distance from here so it was quick. We went inside and I ordered a coffee and a bagel. I shouldn’t have been surprised to see Alex order Supreme pancakes with whip cream and everything. We sat down and ate with small talk until this guy walked in. I don’t really interact with guys or even get involved with them but man was this one gorgeous. He had hazel eyes with black hair and a face that was Sculpt worthy. It inspired me, I didn’t realize I was staring so long until I realized he was staring at me, I looked away immediately feeling embarrassed. Damn Im so stupid. I tried to act like nothing even happened which was working before he came over to our table.
He set a paper down on our table “The cashier asked me to give this to you, you forgot your receipt” I looked down at it and glanced at him “Oh thanks” Alex said to him. He walks away and I grab the receipt, noticing something on the back because the sun shined down on it. I turn it over and there is writing “It’s okay to stare, I was staring too” My eyes widened, he even put a little winking face on it. “What’s wrong Rose” I crumbled the receipt “Oh nothing just getting excited” There is no point in saying anything it’s not i’ll see him again and plus he looked older. We finished and headed towards the college. We parted our ways once we got there but we would meet up later. I went to my first class which was my history in sculpting class with Mr. Ledger. I was like the fifth person in there so we still had to wait a bit. I sat in the middle and waited and soon the class was full and the teacher entered. “Well good morning everyone I'm Mr. Ledger I’m going to wait a few more minutes just incase” and it’s like he knew because at that moment another person came in. This guy walked in and he looked familiar “Well what did I say class, see we have a late student, go ahead and take a seat Mr. Hayes.” He started walking up the aisle and I got a better look at him, oh no. It was that guy from this morning and here I was staring again and like it was a curse he looked at me. I’m sure he recognized me cause he grinned and I felt doomed cause he headed my way, I don’t know why my eyes don’t leave him. He comes all the way to my row and sits one seat away from me but nobody is in between us. Why does it feel like he is mocking me.

Yes, queen. Great first chapter
