Summary

Okay, I know it says excerpt, but it's an ONGOING Excerpt. An EXTENSIVE list of anime and characters. Comments with relevant info are greatly appreciated! My hope is that with the community's help, this can become the best index of animes, mangas, anime-style games, VTubers, and characters out there! Feel free to comment VA's, Japanese or English! In other words, help me by leaving a comment with missing/additional information on empty chapters and incomplete chapters. I'm a busy man, you know. I can only do so much...(╥_╥) I get my info mostly from previous experience (watching/reading,) shorts(reliable info only for these, like appearance. I'm not stupid!), and occasional Googles.

(Feel free to ignore this one)Rules for info donation in depth

Rules are simple for information donation.

One: Types of entries.

A) All manga, anime, webtoons, manhua, and manhwa, regardless of genre or age rating are allowed. Also, if it’s something like No Game No Life that has a Light Novel form, those can be here, too. Or, if it has side stories that are by the author, or are canon. To use NGNL again, the No Game, No Life Please series featuring Izuna. Or anime games like CrushCrush.

Two: Types of information

A) Characters: Names, nicknames, gender, abilities, signature moves(if any,) family, pets/companions, titles, protagonist/antagonist, etc. Known allies and enemies. Basically any relevant, canon information you can scrounge up. Their alignment (D&D style, so Chaotic, True, or Lawful; + Evil, Neutral, or Good. I’ll put a guide here.)

B) Concepts: Things that people who haven’t watched or read might need to have explained. For example, I can add Quirks to the BNHA chapter, but I haven’t watched JoJo, so I can’t explain the concept of Stands.

C) Summaries: Short and sweet summaries of the anime/manga

D) Order: If it’s like Dragon Ball or Pokémon, what is its place in the series?

Three: Rules

A) Character Entries:

I) No Bias

II) No information that isn’t canon. There are times when I’ll make concessions, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

B) Summaries:

I) No spoilers. If you have to allude to events, try to keep it vague.

C) Concepts:

I) I define a concept as any mechanic vital to a character or the anime. Examples are stands, power levels, jutsu, things like that.

Four: Credit

If you donate info, I will include your username at the end of the relevant entry. If you prefer to remain anonymous, please indicate it in your comment.

Five: D&D Alignments

A) There are three overall alignments:

I) Good

II) Neutral

III) Evil

B) There are three modifiers based on how they go about their business.

Ia)Chaotic- A Chaotic character will use any means necessary to accomplish their goals. Sort of like Dark Knight Batman. Murder, theft, no holds are barred and no punches are pulled.

IIa) True/Neutral- A neutral character’s morals are a cross between Chaotic and Lawful. There are things they won’t do, but they’ll still do anything outside of that. For example, if a Chaotic decides that they won’t kill anyone without due cause, or steal if there’s a possibility for negotiation, that’s neutral. True is reserved for only the MOST neutral characters. They are neither good nor evil, chaotic nor lawful.

IIIa) Lawful- A Lawful character will do anything to achieve their goals, inside the law. They may even UPHOLD the law.

C) Combinations

I)Chaotic

a) Good- A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he’s kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations.

b) Neutral- A chaotic neutral character is an individualist who follows their own heart and generally shirks rules and traditions. Although chaotic neutral characters promote the ideals of freedom, it is their own freedom that comes first; good and evil come second to their need to be free.

c) Evil- A chaotic evil character tends to have no respect for rules, other people’s lives, or anything but their own desires, which are typically selfish and cruel. They set a high value on personal freedom, but do not have much regard for the lives or freedom of other people. Sometimes have tendencies to cause unnecessary carnage and mayhem.

II) Neutral

a) Good-A neutral good character typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against lawful precepts such as rules or tradition. A neutral good character has no problems with cooperating with lawful officials but does not feel beholden to them. Think Batman in the old days.

b) TRUE Neutral- Neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. Neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction. The “true” neutral looks upon all other alignments as facets of the system of many things.

c) Evil- A neutral evil character has no compunctions about harming others to get what they want, but neither will they go out of their way to cause carnage or mayhem when they see no direct benefit for themselves.

III) Lawful

a) Good- A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps her word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. Superman, for example

b) Neutral- A lawful neutral character typically believes strongly in lawful concepts such as honor, order, rules, and tradition, but often follows a personal code in addition to, or even in preference to, one set down by a benevolent authority. For example, the samurai would’ve been classified as Lawful Neutral.

c) Evil- A lawful evil villain methodically takes what he wants within the limits of his code of conduct without regard for whom it hurts. He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity, or life. He plays by the rules but without mercy or compassion.
