Blue smile
The girl’s wide-open eyes were stunningly blue and bright, over her white pale bloom.
Even now that they were veiled with a dull grey, as from an early cataract.
But what was astonishing to see was her absurd, slight smile.
In another situation, it would have reminded you of the enigmatic Monna Lisa from Leonardo Da Vinci.
The foaming river waves of the near waterfall mercilessly swept her flaming red hair across her face. But her look remained untouched, undisturbed, like looking from another world.
The rushing flow supported her, rather than submerging her, you would have thought it was incredible.
Then you would have noticed the ropes around her wrists and ankles, tied to the rocks at the bottom, long enough to let her float, strong enough to hold her wide open arms in an obscene crucifix posture.
Smiling.
Naked.
Dead.
