Chapter 1
Welcome to a world of supernatural abilities. 80 years ago, people randomly started getting powers and ever since then we have lived in a world with powers. Let us start with the lowest level of abilities. First there's level one, those are elemental powers. Like wind, fire, earth, and water. There are enormously powerful elemental heroes, but it is exceedingly rare to find an elemental powerful superhero that rival villains. then there's level two. The powers are super strength, super speed, and animal manipulation. Then there's level three, powers consist of matter manipulation, mind control, Ice manipulation and lava manipulation. Level four is the strongest power of all. They're aura manipulation, time manipulation, light manipulation, blood manipulation, shadow manipulation and dark matter manipulation.
The city of Retropolis is split between superheroes and Super villains. The hero side is led by Courageous 6 that are made up of the strongest superheroes to ever walk the earth. Let us name them, shall we? First, we have Reymi, her powers are light manipulation and time manipulation. Next, we have Sky Storm, her powers are Weather manipulation. Then we have Rock lord. His power is the earth element. He's the strongest elemental user alive. Next, we have Shadow, he only has shadow manipulation, but he made it to the top. Then there's Legacy, he has aura manipulation and blood manipulation. Also, there's Wolfbane, his power is animal manipulation.
The villain side is a different story though. It's ruled but one person who is evil. This evil man would make sure you're suffering just because he got news that he didn't like. This terrible person we are talking about is my father. Yes, my father is the number one villain. I never met my mother and if I do, she'll be disappointed in what her son has become. Taking jobs from my father and completing them without hesitation and back talk. I know that I shouldn't be doing this, but this is the only way I can earn money for a living for now. I plan on taking my dad down later though and he'll finally be punished for everything he's done. My name is Andrew, and this is the story of how the Grand Hero War started. First let's take a step back a bit more and introduce the villain side more since that's where I am.
Well, you all know my dad, Hades. He gives out all the orders and who takes what job. He has me for assassination jobs. He said I'm more than qualified to take those jobs because he trained me personally. I know killing people is bad, but I must make money someway. Our school is called the International Society for Doom, or what I like to call it the I.S.D. 17 years ago my dad rose to the top of the ranks by killing the leader and my dad wants me to takeover for him when I get older. I'm 15 turning 16 in a few weeks. The ISD is for villains that choose to come here but I didn't choose. My father enrolled me and just been training me about more dangerous jobs. I don't have any friends, mostly because I'm the headmaster's son and I'm terrifying. Which is understandable because I never failed a mission. Oh yeah and I don't have any powers but there are these artifacts in the storage room that I use.
I mostly use swords and guns but sometimes I use artifacts. The artifacts are very powerful, even sometimes rival level four powers. My dad keeps them sealed away lockup somewhere that is off limits even to me. Since I despise my dad and everything, he stands for I use the artifacts when I go out on missions. There is a chain of command here at the ISD. First, at the top is the headmaster aka my father. Next, you have the lieutenants, then you have the privates. Then you have the teachers and students. Now that you know about everything on the hero and villain side. The war is coming in 3 months, and I must somehow stop the war or stop my father speaking of the devil here he comes.
"Andrew, I have been looking for you. I have great news to tell you."
"Great for you or great for the ISD?"
"Great for everyone, the war is 3 months away and I am ready to conquer this forsaken world."
"Listen Hades that's only good for you and you only. You'll just kill the chain of command and enslave everybody."
"Andrew how many times do I have to tell you. Just because my powers are Dark manipulation and aura manipulation doesn't make me Hades. He's the king of hell, I am not.
"Are you sure? Pretty sure we're in hell already Hades." Not even a full second later he punched me in my stomach, and I let out gasp. It was hard for me to catch my breath at first, while I was dropping to the floor, he grabbed me and started hitting me even more. The hits were super painful, and he didn't stop. He beat me for about an hour before he stopped.
"Next time you want to call me Hades remember this beating and know your place you pathetic human."
I could barely move and ended up passing out. I woke up in the infirmary with a girl standing over me. I still could barely move but tried to get up. My body ached all over and it felt like I took a beating from a train mixed with a bus.
"Are you ok? I found you unconscious in the hallway and brought you here."
"Thanks, but you didn't need to do that. I wouldn't stick around with me here. You're better off with other people." I had never seen her before, and she looked pretty. Long black hair, Bright brown eyes smooth skin. I really should get beaten by my dad more often if girls like these are bringing me here.
"If you don't mind my asking who did this to you?"
"I wouldn't worry about it; you can't do anything about it anyways. By the way, what are you still doing here? Didn't I tell you to leave?"
"I'm sorry I'm not used to this school yet; I was in the middle of the tour when I found you. I asked the tour guide to show you where the infirmary was, and he was kind enough to show me." I was trying to get rid of her and she's too nice to be here. The hero school would fit her way better than this school would.
"Why are you at this school anyway? Your way too nice to be a villain so why are you here?"
"My teacher gave me an important task to find her long lost son. She told me his dad and him go here, and she told me to bring him back to her."
"Sounds like family drama going on. Well, you're probably not going to find some hero's son here. Any kids of the heroes that come here, are killed immediately. But enough with all that what's your name?"
"Oh yeah sorry, my name is Kimberly, but my friends call me Kim. What's your name?"
"My name is Andrew, word of advice don't make any friends here unless you want to be killed or tortured. Nobody here is nice and there won't every be any nice people here." With that warning I gave her the proper welcome at ISD.
