What is your opinion?

The Medusa File

"Huuuuuh! The story is very good but I got confused in the end. Yamaguchi doesn't know or have ever met Mr. Clive. So definitely, he is not the man with Malak in the boat. It only goes down to the father of Harvey. And even if the father of Harvey found something about the Medusa group, why is it that Sato is the one who killed Harvey's parents. Wouldn't it be the job of 'The Cleaner' and not Sato? And it is not clear what is the connection of Mr. Atkins. Why was his name on the list that Harvey found? Unless... there is a deeper mystery that Harvey's father is part of the group and he is going to expose the group. That is is why he was eliminated."

Exciting book!

"The author is able to depict the various settings in vivid detail, taking the reader to fascinating places in Japan and Hong Kong, and giving authentic experiences. I liked how the story takes the reader on a journey, wondering what happened to Harvey's parents. Not everything is resolved in the story, which I liked, and I am thirsty to read the next book and learn how the story unfolds."

An Interesting Read

"This story began with a bang but this sensation wasn't sustained in subsequent chapters. The dialogue lacked tension and conflict. Too many coincidences were employed to drive the plot forward. There was too much telling and not enough showing. The dialogue exchanges between Emma, Harvey and Briggs were boring and predictable. Nothing happens between them. The dialogue tags lacked originality. I was disappointed the author didn't weave more Japanese Samurai history in his story as he did in the prologue. The author has potential but he'll need to read some books on the craft of writing to improve his game."

good job

"The beauty of this work lies in details, and a language which is straight, to-the-point and simple. It’s a job well done, except at times I would want to insert implicit description rather than explicit statements. I am one of poetic prose, but not everyone need be. Every writer has a different sensibility. Sometimes, the dialogues get too obvious, and then there are excess words for want to edit. But it is a plot that echoes with the readers, it zips fast, one sentence after the other. The different locales are well described, scenes come out well etched."
