Robyn's POV
“So Robyn do you know why I called you in today?”
I have an idea. I’m pretty sure I’m here to be asked to sell my parents clinic once again.
“It’s too much on you, they died, and you have no help. Give it to the state”
Exactly they died. They left it in my name and not the states for a reason and I have help. I’m hiring so if we’re done here I would like to leave so I can get back to it.

Who knew that hiring people could be this much work. I’ve been at this for about an hour or so now. I mean sure I’m only going around asking people if they need a job but I tried. Maybe I should put a sign up or an ad on indeed. Maybe Mr. Greyhouse was right, maybe I should give it over to the state. I mean who am I kidding, I'm 19 the only thing I know about running a business is what my father taught me. It was only ever us three. We never hired anyone because we never needed to. My parents worked non stop because the Vet was a dream of my fathers, his life long mission. My parents would have a literal heart attack if they knew I was even considering the deal. The deal he gave me did have some perks to it so maybe I should do it. I mean this was never my dream. I wanted to be a designer and It's been 2 years since highschool and I'm just now getting out of debt. I mean sure my parents never knew about the debt but they knew I made a big mistake. I miss them, adulting is hard and my dad always knew what to do. I know my parents would never want to sell their life's work but maybe it was the best option, even if it meant I would be letting them down. I have no help, little experience and even less money to run this place.
The day was going by slowly and it was beginning to rain. I figured I should lock up early and finish watching All American. Spencer James really knows how to give a speech. This isn't football but I could really use some of his motivation. As I was getting ready to lock up for today he walked in crying, holding a sleeping cat like his life depended on getting her help.
“I was house sitting for my neighbor and he told me he had a cat and a hamster but this is my first time seeing the cat and I think I may have had the temperature a little high or left the wrong food out but it looks like it’s dying and I don’t know what to do. I dont know why I agreed to watch his pets because I have no idea what I'm doing and I think his hamster is dead as well. I went to feed him and he hasn't moved since. Did I over feed him or scare him, I just learned that they are easy to scare and can have heart attacks, like what animal has a heart attack?"
Umm Ok, that's a lot to take in but I can help you. What’s your name for starters. Can I see your ID?
“My names Tristian and I don't have my license on me. I was in a panic and I rushed here and I'm sorry can you just please help them. This is literally the first kind of any job I’ve had in over 6 months, I've been living with my boyfriend and I just feel like I'm bumming off him and I'm scared he'll leave me because I'm not helping so I figured why not get a little job and help him out so I'm not so useless and here I am crying in a vet because I killed my neighbor's pets. Please tell me you can help me without my license"
Tristian Gray? From Creekwood highschool? "Yes, oh my goodness Robyn Hall. Thank the heavens this is your clinic! Girl please tell me you can help me" I'll take a look but I wont be able to give you any medication without an ID on file, if they need them. Lets take a look at your cat first, why do you think she's dying? "Well look at her, she's all wrinkly and bald, she just looks sick" Okay I can do a full examination but I don't think it's needed, your cat isn’t dying or sick or anything for the matter she's just lazy. She's a Sphynx also known as a naked cat so that’s why she looks like that. She's meant to bald. So lets take a look at your hamster shall we? "Thank you goodness, I thought I was killing the poor thing" yup just as I suspected your hamster is fine as well. If you were to take a closer look, you can see the short uneven breaths, so he's not dead or asleep. It's winter and during the cold month's they hibernate. He is perfectly fine How long are you watching them? "Just today, This was all too much" Yeah, I would definitely choose a different line of work if I were you.
"Well thank you for your help, I'm sorry I was so dramatic. I know I would be the worst help because I know absolutely nothing about animals but I do know about hard work and what not. I saw your sign and I know it's a longshot but I will fill out an app and see what happens, you are hiring right?"
Yes we are and I desperately need help but are you sure this is what you want to do, I mean what do you even know?
“Well not much about animals but I can work at the front or clean or whatever and I can start working as early as tomorrow if you give me a chance. I need a job"
Okay, you may be in luck because I desperately need people so fill out this application and I will semd you a link to the provided email for you to upload the needed documents. How does that sound?
"Great, I promise you wont regret it Robyn Hall. I will be the best employee you ever had"
You'll be my only employee so I really hope so. You should get back to house sitting. Its about to storm and you don't have your license on you.

Maybe I didn't need a speech from Spencer James. He may not be the ideal canidate but he's an option. I can't sell my parent's dream. They would haunt me until I died. They would be so disappointed in me if they even knew I was considering it. Maybe this could be a good thing.
