THE NIGHT
I was climbing the stairs. The thumping of boots echoed in the hallway. I turned right. In bright yellow on the brown door it said ‘102’.
The door creaked a little as I entered.
“hey, kid” she grinned, as I walked through the floor rushing to the left. I entered, slowly closing the door. I gazed through the window beside the bed Loosening my tie.
A man, in the dark, whistling. jumping, swaying, drinking from a black bottle in his left hand. the thick drops from the black sky fell on his coat. Swaying his legs he fell in the side, mud on him, still whistling and humming he lay there as a dense fog blurred the glass.
I rubbed my hands against the glass. a red ball rushed towards him. his fingers on it. He looked at his right, I slid the glass and bent towards the window.
“can…can you pass me that” he said, his red t-shirt visible from the raincoat. The whistling stopped, his right hand gestured,
“come to me” his red lips mumbling, he came ahead, his face wet, continuously looking straight at the ball as the kid walked a hand slid on my shoulder,
“Hey, darling” slowly taking her hand down, I bent.
“Stop! Go back” he froze, gazing through his glasses
“run…go home! Now”, he whistled low, as the boy ran straight, inside a blue door by the end of the road
“What’s the matter”
“Nothing” I said as she smiled. Her fingers on my neck, soft breeze passing by her hairs, she pulled the buttons of my shirt as I came closer looking into her hazel eyes. She was on me on the soft bed as a scream, a loud shrill came from the hallway.
“Natalie…Natalie!” I rushed, pulling the knob, she was at the end of hallway, her body stood still. I rushed.
"what happened?"
