AYODEJI'S POV

I went to the club to meet my guys at the table. Kunle, Frank and Chidera have been my friends since I entered university. We have done quite a number of crazy things together.

You know those group of friends where there is at least one person who was always being good, obeying rules and all that, right? Well in our case, none of us wanted that life. We all wanted to explore, we had been living like that till our final year. We studied though but we were not fully invested in studying or doing projects and assignments. Funny thing is we’ve never had carryover courses. I was twenty-three years old same age with Kunle. Chidera and Frank were twenty-two years old.

I walked up to the table they had sat.

“Hmmm, that Cynthia was an easy target sha” Kunle said

“I swear she just fell for you straight” Frank replied.

“She con dey cry after sleeping with you” Chidera said laughing.

“Guys, what’s up?”

“Good” They all replied and went back to what they were discussing.

“Hmm, there is this girl that I’ve been hearing about, that she is rude and a ‘no-go' area oh”

“Mtcheww, what’s her name?”

“Omolara” He replied showing us a picture of the girl.

“She is damn fine” Frank gushed.

“But omo…”

“Leave her to me” I said and they all turned to me.

“Ayo, Ayo…” They hailed me. It won’t be hard to get her. I’m a fine boy, she won’t resist my charms.

“I get what I want, have you guys forgotten?”

“We no fit forget oh” Kunle replied.

“Since she is a tough one, give me a month”

“Ah, Ayo, is too far na, three weeks” Frank said

“Two weeks, I’ll get her in two weeks” I replied smiling.

“No be say she too fine oh” Chidera frowned

“Guy, forget. She fine abeg” Frank replied.

“Ayo, how far?”

“I dey oh”

“What of Esther?”

“Mtcheww, that one should better leave me alone. Because I told her I love her, she has been calling me up and down”

They burst out laughing. We drank the night away, until 11pm when we decided to go home. Thankfully, I didn’t drink too much so I drove everyone to my rented apartment in Kunle's car. My car was with the mechanic. Everyone except me slept in the sitting room while I stayed in my bedroom. It was a Friday night so I didn’t have to kick anyone out the next morning.

Monday came quickly and luckily for me, as I walked towards the main campus, I saw a certain Omolara.

Mission in progress.

I walked up to her and she was snobby but as the conversation went on, she loosened up. I’ll make sure she gets really close to me.

Innocent, fragile Omolara is about to enter into my trap.

make sure you punctuate your dialogues (add commas or full stops where appropriate). The accent portrayed through phonetic spelling can be distracting and difficult to understand for readers. Instead, you could add words from their native tongue in their lines of dialogue

Shriya: When I started, i thought the Alpha was a psycho, a control freak and could not understand why Kiera didn't get terrified of him. I wish the book was a bit longer to show her life in the pack but then I thought many of us are surrounded by strangers and we can be non inclusive without realising the ...
