Impressive Magical Fantasy
"Wonderful and eloquent story of magic, demons and dragons. Most of the chapters were (in my opinion) ideal in length. The style of writing is engaging with individual and unpredictable plot twists which I absolutely love! I believe the way in which you delivered information is really good; I never felt lost at being bombarded with a load of information. Imaginations are a wonderful thing and you have shown exactly that in your story. I would have liked to have spent some time with other characters however that it more of a personal preference. There was also a few punctuative mistakes but nothing that would effect the book immensely. I look forward to reading the next book and watching the story develop! :) "
Epic Fantasy
"The author has constructed a fantasy world with multiple types of magic, amazing dragons and frightening demons. The plot line is solid and enticing, just the sort of book I would relish. Unfortunately for this medium, the chapters are long and cumbersome to get through (not really the author's fault) since one has to scroll through each. Possibly consider shortening chapters only for this format; I think in a book where I can stop at a "page" (even in electronic format) and pick it up without having to scroll back down and figure out where I left off, the current format would be perfectly fine. (I am probably guilty of this myself in my first postings.) Looking forward to reading more and watching the story and characters develop. If perspective readers have any doubts; did I mention there are dragons? :)"
Enchanting and immersive
"The Good: A wonderfully imagined and fleshed-out world awaits in this somewhat nostalgic fantasy story centering around a young man and his journey to realize his destiny. The writing is competent and engaging and the main character is fun and relatable. The introduction of young Eric and the magic system for the setting was delightfully reminiscent of something from dungeons and dragons or skyrim. I particularly enjoyed the beast spirit and look forward to seeing how that relationship plays out. Eric himself feels well-realized and developed, making him a joy to follow. The Bad: The development of some of the ancillary characters seemed sometimes a bit lacking since we don't get to spend much time with them in the beginning chapters. I would have liked to have spent a bit more time in conversation with grandma and mom in the beginning. Even so, there isn't much to complain about here that doesn't come down to taste and I would hardly hold this against the work. The Advice: Since the story seems largely focused on Eric's perspective, it might be interesting to find ways to have interactions with the other characters that clue us into their personal motivations and their place in the world around them. Even skewed through the lens of Eric's perspective, it might go a fair way in allowing you to world-build and grow your characters without the need for substantial exposition. Final Thoughts: This story is fantastically conceived and is a joy to read. Eric is delightful and entertaining, both mischievous and childish, and yet at the same time, competent and powerful. A fitting fantasy romp for a cozy weekend read. I look forward to following this work as it develops. Only three books to go! I look forward to seeing how your talent grows. Well done!"
Amazing!!
"Despite my sporadic reading schedule, I always look forward to coming back to this story. I am a big lover of anything fantasy, so I was hooked on this from the beginning. I like your take on classic fantasy tropes (prophecies, chosen one, etc) and made it feel fresh and new in your work. I also loved the inclusion of dragons in this, and the role they played, and also the fact that they were sentient. That added such a great dimension to your plot and characters. Speaking of characters! Eric is such a great protagonist. I felt connected to him right away, and the others as well. I love all his powers, especially his beast-so cool! None of them felt out of place, and he didn’t feel overpowered either-a difficult feat, but you nailed it! This reads like classic fantasy to me, but with a fresh spin. I thought your writing style flowed wonderfully, and I didn’t notice any grammar mistakes thus far. Overall, I had such a great time with this, and I’m very excited to see where things go from here! Really fantastic job!! "

"Truly awesome read. Love how imaginative it is. Magical, fantastical... Appeals to readers like myself. Takes away the chaos and strain of the real world and captures your mind on an amazing ride. Books like these are hard to put down. Always wish these can be seen on the big screen after I read them. Looking forward to book 2."
