Prologue
I grew up believing in God. My daddy took my to church every Sunday. I grew up believing in love. That love is greater than any other feeling. Love conquers all.
My mother left me when I was almost five. By now I know the entire story. Though it never changed my feelings towards her. Not even in the nine years since the last time that I saw her.
I wish I could say that this was a happy story. A happy ever after. I can’t give you false hope though. It’s not in my DNA.
I remember the day. A day that was supposed to be amazing for my. My 18th birthday. I guess that’s where it started. Or ended. I’m not sure anymore.
What I am sure of? That’s a short list. I’m sure God loves us all in his own way. I’m sure my daddy loves me extra on the bad days. I’m sure that my mother knew exactly what she was doing too.
I wish I could say I wasn’t sad. Alas, once upon a time she was a great mom to me. Too bad I don’t remember those days much anymore.
This is the story about my life. Ana Leigh Evans. And I wish I didn’t have to tell it this way.
