"Happy birthday Lilian!" says Mr.Garcia as Lilian walks downstairs. "Thanks but let's not make it a big deal please" says Lilian. "It's your 17th birthday honey" says Mr.Garcia. "I know but it's no big deal" says Lilian. All Lilian wanted to do was go back to bed but she had school and there was no way she was missing out on seeing her best friend. "Sweetie we actually need to talk." says Mr.Garcia calmly. "About what?" asks Lilian anxiously. "I know that you didn't want to make a big deal about your birthday but I have a present for you." says Mr.Garcia. Just then Kota walks in. "Alright what is it?" asks Lilian. " What's what?" asks Kota as he slides into the chair next to Lilian. "Well I have a suprise for Lilian." says Mr.Garcia. "Oh okay" says Kota. "Well what is it?" asks Lilian impatiently with a giggle. "We found you bio dad." says Mr.Garcia. Lilian pauses and stares blankly at the wall. "Why would you do that?" asks Lilian with anger in her eyes. "Babe calm down." says Kota. "NO don't tell me to calm down I want nothing to do with that man!" screams Lilian. "That man is your father." says Mr.Garcia. "That may be true he is my father by blood but he means nothing to me." says Lilian. "He's right Lils ." says Kota. At that very moment Lilian was angry as a matter of fact she was furious. How could Kota say that after all she told him about her father. "I'm going to school." says Lilian. "Wait I can drive you." says Kota. Lilian doesn't reply she just glares at him with tears in her eyes and walks out the door. Her father was some man who left when she was born, who did drugs and made dumb decisions. She wanted nothing to do with that man.
