"No one understand your dreams better than you. No one knows your struggle and rejections deeper than you. That's why no can rilyne one's own self greater than you!"
-Vaneeta Chugh
The busy buzz of the upcoming lantern festival made commoners more jumpy than usual. A rumour had been penetrating around the locals that this season they would get to meet the beauty of their hearts.
Calamine ferningz, an average mid-height curvy girl with dimpled cheekbones and flawless caramalised skin-tone adorning olive green eyes, was the upcoming star player of new upcoming season of Singing Owl and everyone from teenagers to adult were enraptured by her stunning voice and lyrical singing except her parents who didn't have any idea upto the date of her daughter having an ounce of talent in her.
In reality she preferred it that way because knowing them they had be more interested in selling her life rather than to be involved in her passion.
She neither blinked nor batted her eyelashes gazing dead straight in the eyes of a perfect scrumptious doll face snack aka herself.
For the past three hours she was attached to herself in the mirror. Even the convex lens was tired of her but did she stop?
Nope.
Throwing the hairdryer away, combing the last of her curls into soft sleek silky bangs, she dragged herself out of that dull pitiful room. Not a single word was uttered between her and her parents.
Like an obedient child, she followed them like a lost puppy although she was far from being obedient. But today was an exception because of the upcoming consequences awaiting at her doorstep after their return if she messed it up even a single bit.
What was more strange? Her birth mark was itching extraordinarily today and that too immensely emitting scorching hot waves throughout her body. She had to bath in freezing ice cubes just to cure the burn.
Her eagle shaped symbol was also one of the reasons she had been treated like a dirt in her home since last 11 years used for mocking and disrespecting thankfully to her lucky stars it had never been physical till now. And she hoped it wouldn't be in the future as well.
They climbed into their Porsche to have an incredible impression on the benefactors they are meeting currently. Well, she haven't met any of them, to be honest she couldn't care less, it was probably her first and last time of being present.
Not wanting to be aware of their debugging presence, she put her buds on and played her favourite song from the playlist.
Indeed, it was the perfect song as per her charming character uplifting her mood from low to high everytime yet she didn't remember how or where it came from? Was I abducted?
She brushed the ludicrous thought away! Off she went into the dreamland of mystical creatures closing her eyes and covering her ears.
The similar scene of battle ground replaying again and again. A blurry image of something that looked almost like a castle becoming clear more and more until her vision broke off due to the cat calling of her mom.
Here comes the lecture of the day. Blah-balh-blah-balh. She kept nodding her head bobbing it up and down knowing she couldn't do anything about it. If she seemed a little indifferent she would have to endure much worse than that so she sucked it up like a good girl.
As their vehicle entered the gateway, two guards came into their vision wearing what looked similar to Hitler's men attire clothes. She wanted to laugh it off but one look at her mother knocked it all out through a cough. Phewwww I was saved just now!
Cocking her head a little to the side, she observed the fencing of the garden was somewhat alike as her dream. Though she let it be for voicing out her thoughts might raise the questions she wasn't ready to answer.
One by one they got down piling out of the car. As she stepped outside her feet stumbled upon the little fallen rocks scattered on the ground. Balancing herself a little as she turned around, a high speed animal cum zombie ridden by someone whose head was clawing at her memory in dreams came tumbling at her.
Before the unknown creature could touch and lay a single bit of scratch on her body, she whispered in a feeble voice, the words hesitating on her lips, "Hubalibaloo" and BOOM!
It was over.
