It steals time…. you sit down to read a couple of chapters and next thing the pan has burned dry and the fire brigade’s turned up! Unique idea
"The idea of this story is very unique and interesting. From the beginning it does look a lot like a very toxic relationship justified by a curse, soon after this changes though. I loved the conflicts and their resolutions. I do not understand, however, why his brother did not get rid of the lunatics earlier, seeing as how easily he could have solved it. Yes, he did not like intervening into another’s mind but nothing in cult’s actions have previously suggested that they would ever stop coming at him and Ethan’s house until they killed him. Why risk it if you can stop it before something tragic happens? The writing style, was horrid (sorry). Reading felt like traveling on a very bumpy road. Very often sentences did not make any sense, for example they ended where they should have not ended. Very confusing to read. Dialogues also should be worked on since the main trio all speak in a same way, making it difficult to understand who said what. Morgan’s dialogues were the worst; she just repeated herself. The fight scenes were boring (again, sorry).The structure “she did this, he did this, she then did this” does give you brief and clear understanding of what is happening but it lacks general flow, which makes it look more like a report than a description of the fight. Despite the negatives, the book was worth reading. The story is impressive and unlike anything I have ever read before. "
