Pitch Black
I knew what I had done could not be forgiven, and it shouldn’t be, for I caused everything to fall apart into nothing. I destroyed this world, me. But I regret none of it, except you Will. I’m sorry. For everything. I truly am UNFORGIVABLE.
Black. All I could see was black, but that just means I could see nothing at all, it’s like I’m dead but I can still feel everything, I can move but in pitch black space I don’t see the point in that, “hello?’ I said in a very confused tone. No one answered as to be expected but it was worth a try. After time passed by not sure how much, the whole room turned to light. I grunted from the sudden change in light and looked toward the ground with my eyes closed very tightly shut. “Another one for me to take care of, really? I’ve already done 12 today.” I looked back up slowly and hovering above me was a man. He had wings. Very white, gleaming, long wings sticking out his back. My eyes are wide for what I am looking at cannot be real. But this felt real. “Hey, hello? Can you hear me, I want to get this done fast so stand up will you.” I stood up while keeping my gaze on the man. He gestured his hand behind him like he was welcoming me into his house or something. Behind him now were to doors. The one on the left was a very plain white door with a golden door knob. The one on the right was a much darker brown door with a very shiny silver door knob. I looked at the man and words just started to flow out “What is this? Who are you? Why am I here?’’ “Shhhhhh, calm down I can explain all of this very quickly for you, you sir are dead.’’ “What? How am I dead, I’m alive right now see.” I started shaking all my libs to prove that I was alive, I couldn’t be dead, I’m standing right here plain as day. “No. You are very much dead; you are in the space that dead people go that is between heaven and hell, and I’m an angel, my name is Zachary but, just call me Zach please.’’ I couldn’t believe this, this is not how life is, this stuff doesn’t exist, it’s made up, not real. Fake. Just stories made to make people believe in stuff that isn’t real right? Right? “Is this real? Like reality real?” “Yes.” the man said to me with complete confidence. “You are dead.”
“These two doors Infront of you represent your future, what are you going to do for the rest of your life?” “What do you mean? You said I was dead, what life are you talking about?” “You see... I never caught your name? What is it?” I opened my mouth to answer as anyone should because who doesn’t know their name, right? Apparently, me. I couldn’t remember it. I looked at Zach in fear and said “I... Don’t... Know...” He looked at me like I was crazy. Like I had lost my mind. “Are you certain you don’t remember it?” he asked. “Yes...” I mumbled back. I couldn’t believe anything, is this actually real, who am I? “Well, I guess when you die anything can happen” he said abruptly. I looked at him confusion for what he just said. “Well, I mean, you died very recently so maybe you still got some screws loose up in there.” He knocked on his head as he finished what he was saying. “I’ve wasted a lot of time on you already so I’m going to need you to pick a door, the door on the left will make you an angel, a servant of God, you live for him, and die for him. The door on the right will take to an endless veil will you can spend an eternity doing nothing, recently I’ve learned that some people are in to that but not me.” I stared at both doors wondering why this is happening, what if I don’t want to choose a door? “What if I don’t choose a door? What happens them?” “Couldn’t tell you.” He said back. That didn’t help me at all. I don’t want to do nothing for the rest of time but, being an angel? Seems like a commitment I’m not ready for. “Well?” Zach was just looking at me. Like he wanted to see what I would do. He seemed curious of me. “I guess I’ll choose that one.” I didn’t have a chose, I had to choose one and this one didn’t sound as bad as the other one. I looked at Zach and he seemed surprised by my chose. I walked over to the door, stood Infront of it for a couple seconds thinking is this what I really wanted. “You can always change your mind” Zach said out of nowhere. Like he was trying to help me or something, as if he was unsure about my chose to. I looked at him and his face was very serious. He meant what he said. I don’t know what he implied by it but he wanted to rethink. But I couldn’t choose the other one. It’s too much. I turned away from Zach and faced the door again. I put my hand on the door knob and twisted it to the right. It made a slight creak when I turned it and I push the door. It was open but all that was on the other side was the place I was in. I didn’t go anywhere. I looked back looking for Zach but, he was gone. I finally faced the open door and walked in. Hoping I made the right chose...
