Prologue
“Are you not lonely?” I asked, referring to the lack of people he holds close in his life. He raised his head, his eyes met mine in a calm gaze.
“Aren’t you?” He asked back. A small sad smile rose on my lips as I shook my head.
“I can’t lose people if I am not close to them.” I spoke quietly.
“You can still get lonely.” He said.
“I am not dependent on people for survival and if I was, what's the point in surviving.” A small grin appeared on his face.
“I’m starting to think our minds work the same.”
I shook my head, a soft giggle escaped my lips. “I don’t kill people, Master.”
“Touche.”
Life is a series of riddles and puzzles, but for Faye there were always missing puzzle pieces, leaving her life unsolved. That was until now, the pieces are appearing but the new puzzle is why now? Why suddenly after she met the demon from everyone’s nightmares, the vampire, Lord Nicholas.
