Chapter 1
Hey guys! I'm the author of this story. and honestly i'm just writing this for fun so don't expect a literal masterpiece lol. Also if you have any sugestions let me know or just wanna vent please do :) I don't know a ton about marketing so I'm just freestyling this entire thing. My english might be a bit bad so if there's a mistake please tell me ;)

This isn't what I was going for when I applied for Ompalo festival as a marketingstudent. I stand in the heat with the flyers while the wasps are zooming around my head. 'You know when Tom said he had a surprise for us I thought about going for a drink or something like that, certainly not this', says our graphic designer Amy as she waved a wasp away. 'Me neither', I replied. The f*cker who happened to be my boss sent the team a message that he had a surprise for all our hard work that we put in the preparation of the festival. When we got there he gave us all the flyers and said this was cheaper then to hire people to give them out. If we dared to go home then he would fire us. Because of this me, Amy, Bob, Jennifer, and Kai were now sweating in the middle of the park to hand out some flyers.
Amy stands besides me as she studies the flyers with her design on it. The name Ompalo festival is curved in pink letters with a cute little drawn beach and flamingo's in the background. 'It looks so cute!' I say to her. She's my best friend but often she is selfconscious over her own talents. 'Thank you', she says with a blush. 'Do you already know who you want to see next saturday?' Amy flips her curled bangs 'I would love to see The Driver Era, Conan Gray, The Lumineers, AJR and Bastille. 'This is going to be so much fun!', I say as I give Amy a high-five.
I look around and I see that Bob hasn't got so much luck with handing out the folders. He looks intimidating with his tattoo's, buff body and long beard but he's the most huggable person I've ever met. When my last boyfriend Troy called me on the first day as a trainee to break up Bob comforted me to make sure I was okay. Also if I get into an occasional fight with Tom he's there to support me. He does the cinematography and helps Jennifer with organising this whole thing. I wave at him and give him a smile.
After a while my stomach gives a growl. Not a little one but one like GIVE ME FOOD NOW. Everyone heard it even if they said they didn't. 'I think I'm going to grab something at Subway. Who wants to come with?' Jennifer and Bob were talking and laughing so loud that they didn't hear me. I raise my voice and they both look caught. 'DO YOU GUYS WANNA HAVE SOMETHING FROM SUBWAY?'
'No thanks!' yells Jennifer back.
So here we go with Amy and Kai on a mission to some delicious food. We find a subway close to the church. We all order the subway of the day and we sit down. It's fun seeing people walk through the square. You see so many people with so different lifes going about their day. You are just a stranger in their own little bubble. I get a little nudge from Amy as Kai looks at me with a questioning look. 'Um what did you say?'
'If you were going to order dessert?', says Kai laughing while he puts on his glasses. I have never seen him in glasses before but his brown eyes pop out even more in them. 'For sure you actually must know now that I never skip dessert.' 'I'm sorry my highness this won't happen again. He makes a bow. He works with me in the marketing and every dinnerbreak we have one of those vanillapuddings after dinner. It's the most fun part of the day. But unfortunately I'm almost done with my internship and then I probably won't end up there again. After we had the most delicious icecream ever we headed back to the park.
We continued all handing out the flyers until my watch stroke five o'clock. A big black porsche parked on the parking lot and our boss came out. He walked to us and said 'it's five o'clock so I can't legally forbid you to go home so you're free to go.' We all stood there flabberguested as he stepped in his car and drove away. 'Well that was unexpected', said Amy. 'Maybe we can still have dinner together for our hard work this past year.', offered Jennifer. We all agreed with a cheer.
We sit down at a cute little Italian restaurant along the river. Alice and Kai are on my side and Bob and Jennifer on the other. 'I'm so glad we are done with organising this entire thing.', says Jennifer. 'Now let's eat!' The waiter took our order and came back 'here are the cocktails the girls and the beers for the guys, enjoy!' It looks absolutely stunning. Alice and I took a picture with our Sundown Swizzle. I took a sip and it tastes absolutely amazing. 'I guess I had to order a cocktail also', says Kai while looking at his glass of beer. 'You can taste', I say 'it tastes like the rainbow.' He takes a sip and his face scrunches up. 'Damn that's sweet.' The whole table laughs at his reaction. 'I for sure ain't going to order that I take my words back.' Just at that moment the waiter gives us our delicious meals. I ordered gnochi, and it looks delicious. 'Are you guys going to the festival?', I asked.
'I have to make the pictures and video's for the 'socials' ', Bob answered
'I would absolutely love to but I booked myself a little citytrip to Barcelona.' , says Jennifer
'That's so cool!' Replies Amy. 'I wanna go to Barcelona one day too it's so beautifull there. The sagrada famillia is my top priority'.
'I don't know but all my friends are out of town right now. So I don't have anyone to go with.', Kai says with a shrug on his shoulders.
'You can come with us if you'd like to!,' says Amy at him.
'I guess it's settled', I say with a smile.
We all ate our delicious meals and drank the cocktails (at least some of us) and we went home.
