"Dammit."
The matt under me doing little to cushion my ragged back.
Just to get on her nerves a little, because she's a bitch, so she deserves it.
The contact of her bare foot shredding the side of my face in an instant.
The view on the inside of my garage becomes blurry for a moment. Luckily I caught myself and shift back into a defensive stance. My face quickly melting off as my muscles unhinge.
Her quirk was Shred. She could tear apart any object, living or not, to shreds. It was quite a good quirk to use against somebody with a healing ability.
My hips arrange sideways and line up with my arms. Thick layers of blood quickly rush into my mouth as I give her a half smile.
I have once again unintentionally smothered her as she begrudgingly thinks of my existence.
I can see it on her face as she scowls at me. Definitely thinking about what an annoyance I am. She whispers it all of the time with my Father, so by now I was used to it.
But it still hurt.
'My bad. You don't have to act like such an ass damn.' I sigh through my nose and squint my eyes to examine her.
My body almost feels light, as I whistle a tune going into a song. A golden glow shines over my face's mucles, quickly forming my muscles back together, healing it completely.
My quirk is Angel Whip. It allows me to heal my body if I cover myself in my golden glow that is mostly a strand of golden thread used for a whip. That's only when I'm singing that I can heal though.
Otherwise I can use it many ways in form of attack. Defending myself would prove to be a hard feat as it isn't very easy to control.
It comes in handy especially when I'm getting my ass whooped so I can heal myself. In my defense though, I could honestly probably beat her ass, I just choose not to in order to make my song of healing better for myself.
Self improvement, yay!
Speaking of singing, every time I do, my soulmate hears me. Though its only a few diluted words they can hear when you sing from your heart.
They can mostly only feel your emotions when you sing so it's not much help when you would want to tell them directions to meet you. You of course would never know what words your soulmate would hear, that nobody can control.
Even so, most people can't use that way of communicating to find their soulmate. It's a rather hard form of a 'tag' to have. Most people have the other two forms. Either the place their soulmate first touches them, which is called a Mark.
Another is the words their soulmate first says to them. Which is most convenient.
For me, singing is the most rare type and the most difficult to have.
Then their is a Zing. A Zing is when you look into your soulmate's eyes you can see color, those are of low population and one of the most unfortunate soulmate tags to have.
If you break away from your soulmate or they die, no, you do not lose your color senses once again. They stay, and as for the reason, scientists have yet to figure out.
A Mark, Words, Zing or Singing, are the four types of ways to find your soulmate. All together they are known as The Soulmate Tags. Individually they are a 'tag'.
Now, you might be wondering why Singing is the hardest given soulmate choice. That's because you can only convey your emotion through words, your soulmate can only hear certain muffled words of your voice until you grow a bond. When you grow a bond with your soulmate you don't know is your soulmate, only then will you hear clearly.
Though you can feel your soulmates emotions when they sing, no matter if they hear you clearly or not.
That is why Singing is the hardest Soulmate tag to have. Making it harder for me to find mine, not that I'm particularly in a hurry.
I suppose she was talking about my thread that was unsteadily slipping from my head and slithering down me to find my scattered bruises.
I didn't mean to raise my voice, I was just tired. Dead tired, but not quite yet dead. That was no excuse for yelling at my sweet mother.
The aching in my limbs subsides when i hear the news that isn't surprising.
My Father, the one who, along with Monique, hates me with his entire being.
My mother claps her hands with a pleasing smile on her face. She almost lets out a squeal as she strokes my hair.
What a bitch.
She had many secrets. As did I. Mine was the pair of wings that can protrude from my back, inherited from my mother who can not retract hers into her back.
My secret was one kept very conveniently, one I never use around anyone who could possibly figure out.
I was careful, not even telling my Mother. Hell, I didn't even dare whisper it to my fat 1 year old cat Oliver.
Kat, my Pomeranian followed swiftly behind me, nipping at my ankles as if to make me go faster.
Tomorrow would be my first day as a spy, although I don't plan to comply.
