Summary

These are some short one stories I have writen over the years. Please enjoy. I might add some more short stories I write in the future. Don't forget to like and comment if you like my stories. If you want a second part to a particular story just ask me. I follow everyone that follows me. Sorry I'm not finishing my other stories, these short stories just come to mind whenever, so when I actually sit down and write a story, I can't think of anything. So I decided to just write the short stories that come to mind, instead of writing a whole a** book. Remember, if you want a second part to a particular story, just say it. Enjoy!

The Black Death

We were sitting at the dining table, talking about the year so far. The black death had hit nearby, and we were discussing what would happen if one of us got it. Suddenly, my Mum’s phone rang. She sat up, taking her empty plate and glass with her. After putting her dishes in the dishwasher, she answered the call.

’Hello?” she asked into the phone. She was quiet for a moment, before her eyes went wide, and she let out a small gasp.

“What’s wrong?” Dad asked as he shot up out of his seat and went to her, wrapping his arms around her. Tears brimmed her eyes.

She slowly turned her head to look at us, and as she spoke, tears fell down her cheeks.

“Alex, he has the black death!” Alex is our 3 year old cousin, he came over today to play with my 2 year old brother, Zachy, and my 8 year old brother Bradon. If he had covid, then we’re at risk too. Immediately, I shot up and ran straight to my phone. Dialing 000, I paced back and forth, worried. Someone answered the phone.

“000 what is your emergency?” a woman’s voice replied.

“Hello, we had someone over at your house today and they had the black death, both my brothers are at high risk, one has asthma” I said in a rushed voice.”

“Ok thank you for calling, what is your address?”

“*********************”

“Ok, police and doctors will be there soon, please stay online with me” while I was answering a couple of questions, I got Zachy in my arms, and checked his temp. 39 degrees, that’s not good. I checked Bradon, Zachy was still in my arms, and I was still answering questions. 38 degrees. Dad was still comforting Mum, while she cried into his shoulder. I took Zachy and Bradon to the front, calling Dad to get Mum out here too. Bradon was starting to cry now too. I quickly said into the phone that they better be here quickly and that I had to go. I hung up the phone, and kneeled down in front of Bradon. Whispering, I said,

“It’s going to be ok, you’re going to be ok, don’t worry, you need to comfort Zachy, you need to be there for him, br the strong boy, I love you so much” by then, Zachy was crying too. Bradon took Zachy after getting some toys, and they sat down on the ground and played for a bit. With the thermometer still in my hands, I checked my temp. 26 degrees. I was glad. I went to Mum and Dad, and checked their temp. Mum was burning up, but that was properly because she was crying. Dad was fine though. Suddenly, sirens filled the silence. Police cars and ambulances pulled up in front of the house. Police had full-face masks on, while the doctors had that plus white suits.
