The Hate You Give
Even after the first time, you saw me cry,
you never apologized to me.
I see no remorse in your eyes,
though I know you feel sorry for yourself.
I came home to your broken words,
you were drunk for the 4th time in two days.
You hurt me emotionally, physically, and mentally,
yet I always forgave you.
I never cared that you hated me,
and look where I am now.
It was my fight to fight, my battle to face.
I hope I see you beat until you’re black and you’re blue,
so you know just as much pain you put me through.
